Martínez  throws away the gold medal with three misses in the final round.

 

However, he does qualify for the Olympic Games. Assuming he’s chosen by Venezuela, it will be only his second appearance at the Olympics after *check notes* Los Angeles 1984 

 

He won his only other medal at the Pan American Games 40 years ago in Caracas.
