Track Cycling UCI Junior World Championships 2019

France set a new junior world record in men's team pursuit, Germany was also faster than the old world record. :yes

Germany lost women's team sprint for the first time in ages while Italy continues their dominance in women's team pursuit. In men's team sprint Germany was embarrassing once again. India won the gold medal in that event but i don't see them translating this success to senior level.

Attachment is the great fabricator of illusions; reality can be obtained only by someone who is detached.

India’s victory does say some positive about their currently developing program though. It shows that they do have some young talent amongst their ranks.

Expecting another medal today :d(even a good performance would be fine).

The funding given for cycling is minimum by government and despite the vast mainland we all have to turn our attention to the Andaman and Nicobar Islands to produce good cyclists. Cycling would more of be taken for educational scholarships, prize money for taking care of family. Hope the medal would be another gift on the country's independence day

    • Regarding the swimming they have added the 800m for men and the 1500m for women so cutting numbers would be odd.
    • That quota I’ve been told by an athlete aiming to qualify who I know online.
    • Has the quota for Canada been offically confirmed anyway, or is that just a rumour? I can't find anything on google about it (nor the suggested quota for England's athletes someone posted earlier).   12 per gender would make sense (it's roughly what Canada sent to Birmingham). 12 overall seems dumb.
    • Some sports have qualification systems   3x3 basketball (wheelchair) Para-cycling Powerlifting Weightlifting
    • In the past few games, Canada (and other nations) was given an overall athlete quota which they then divided it through the various sports.
    • Whose decision was this, Team Canada's or the Organising committes?
