A lot of the time though, Auntie isn't even showing a live event on BBC One. So they have two streams, but only one (and sometimes none) of them are showing live sport. We missed a lot of the Athletics because they were showing BMX on Red Button (understandably because GB were about to win two medals) and... boxing highlights on BBC One.

I think with Athletics it was decided to catch up on them a bit later as that is a bit quicker.

Yeah, i had my doubts about Eurosport Player, but it turned out it is excellent. If you take out that first day, which had no commentary of course.

Spot on. Although Eurosport's TV coverage (from what I can tell) has been a bit lacking.

As now we come across the world
To share these Games of old
Let all the flags of every land
In brotherhood unfold

My only gripe with ES player is that when they have multiple streams from the same event (athletics, gymnastics), they dont bother naming them, it is just called "Gymnastics - women- day X". What it would cost to put there "Gymnastics - women all-around - vault" for example? Same with athletics. It takes a lot of time to find the stream I am looking for.

Plus: I too find ESP of good value. My yearly plan renewed in June or July this year (last year I got 4 or 5 months free due to the coronavirus pandemic when there was nothing to broadcast live for several months), so it will be valid in time for Beijing. Therefore I get two Olympic Games worth of content out of one year's subscription. Not bad for € 24.99

I suggest you to instal the french version. They have every single stream of every match of every sport named, nothing more easy to find the video you search

The poor worldwide ratings for the Games will make getting bidders for 2036 and onwards even harder - it will have a long term impact on the games.

I'm a bit upset about M4Sport's coverage, because they only show and talk about Hungarians. I care less about the 42nd Hungarian than a Simone Biles or a Novak Djokovic. I want to see the winners.

I write here because I wonder if the same thing happens in other countries.

Need to see the numbers from an Olympics not tainted by a pandemic.  Only so much we can figure from the numbers here

I’m not sure the pandemic can be blamed as the sport has been excellent and the lack of crowd not that noticeable.

Bright side: Marca Claro publishes hundreds of highlights videos on YouTube for Hispanic American fans.

Dark side: the titles and sample images of every highlights video spoil the results.

    • I have reported this again and they said it should be fixed now, please let me know if you are still facing issues.
    • more countries added to the list of US ban    you can't travel to USA if you are from : burkina faso , niger , Laos , South sudan , mali , sierra leon ...
    • Yes, but what I mean for Serbia is that everything changed there (unfortunately for us ). 2022 was an unbelievable mess, that's not the case anymore now with just one athlete who has really gone for it and made it, so I'm 99% sure they'll accept it this time.   Who knows though. Plus there's always 1-2 bigger countries here or there who reject something, but it's not gonna be 16 places I'm afraid
    • Doping by Event Type When we look at which events have the most doping cases, a few categories stand out from recent sanction records: Long Distance (3,000m and above): 32% of cases Sprints (400m or less): 24% of cases Jumps: 12% of cases Javelin: 8% of cases Middle Distance (800m–1,500m): 8% of cases Hammer: 8% of cases Steeplechase (3,000m SC): 4% of cases
    • From 2020 to 2025    These three countries alone make up almost two-thirds (61.9%) of all current doping violations in athletics worldwide. It’s worth noting that 199 of World Athletics’ 214 member federations have no athletes on the current ban list. This means the problem is really concentrated in a small number of places. Here’s a look at the top countries: Rank Country Total Violations Percentage Region 1 Kenya 119 24.74% Africa 2 India 108 22.45% Asia 3 Russia 73 15.18% Europe 4 China 26 5.40% Asia 5 Turkey 20 4.16% Europe 6 Italy 18 3.74% Europe 7 South Africa 18 3.74% Africa 8 Ukraine 17 3.53% Europe 9 United States 16 3.33% North America 10 Morocco 15 3.12% Africa
