In the European championship there is only one place in C2 W and K2 M? France wins the B final in C2, possible reallocation as Japan had in 2020? Vektor 3,195 Posted August 27, 2023 #207 Share Posted August 27, 2023 (edited) There are two stories here for Hungarian canoeing: On one hand we did well in the Olympic qualification, 15 quotas is an acceptable outcome and I think we will win the other 3 next year in Szeged. On the other hand this is a disaster in terms of gold medals. ZERO gold medals in the Olympic events. Only one gold medal overall before the 5000m finals... Our gold medal favorites (Varga, Kopasz) lost and most of our medal favorites disappointed. A similar result in Paris would be seen as a disaster. The 3 gold medals of London, Rio and Tokyo are a distant memory at this point, the good days are over if we don't get our shit together.
