All the post on WA social media about the Olympic Quotas disappared :cheer:

if Italy would have been in the semi-finals, would you also have had the same behavior?

Yup, I will. Rules are rules ;)

Rules are rules. You could argue that France eliminated a nation which could have gotten the Olympic quota.

Of course France could still finish 4th and render the whole thing moot.

Mexico is going for the medals in women’s team recurve. Great

Does someone knows when was the last time no Asian team went into the podium in this event?

1977 (in :AUS Canberra) when the medals went respectively to :USA:URS:AUS

fun fact, the first Asian team to win a medal in the women's team event was :PRK (silver in 1975), meanwhile from 1933 (1st edition) to 1973 they never won a single medal

then, from 1979 on, there's always been at least an Asian team on the podium

Pretty good first day for Germany. Obviously the men's team was disappointing. Does anyone know the score of their lost match against the US? (The "live" scoring didn't really help)

I think that the women's team (sadly) will finish 4th. Mexico looks like the favorite for gold and the other two teams also scored clearly higher in the quarterfinal.

1) Is there any livestream?

2) Will the mixed recurve team final take place today?

:MEX:GER:NED qualified in women's team.  A bit suprising since qualification document told other way round. But world archery has confirmed this.

Very good to hear. Very fair decision.

Rules are rules, but what an unprecedented amateurism of the world federation. With this they disrupt the Olympic dream of two young Dutch girls (Roeffen and Van der Winkel) who already shared on social media that they are very happy with their very unexpected Olympic qualification. Yes, they still have the chance to qualify, but you feel strongly that the Netherlands will miss the prizes here and that they will no longer come so close to Olympic qualification. A very sad day thanks to World Archery.
