I think the UEFA sub-21 Football tournament (next edition, with the final round scheduled for June 2019) is the first event with Olympic implication to start...

if they keep the same scheme from the most recent tournaments (the one ending next June included), the qualifying rounds will start as soon as March/April 2017...

 

also the qualification period of Judo should start quite early, in Spring 2018, I guess...

 

meanwhile I'm pretty sure about Fencing, going from April 2019 to the end of March 2020...

The only thing I don't like about it is the format, the woman-men-woman-men schedule, it should be free to decide, so strategic will be more important.

Apparently another mixed team proposal came out this week, in judo... Mixed team event consisting of women's -57, -70, +70 and men's -73, -90, +90
