Yes, the show offers a more realistic depiction of autism than a lot of popular media.

Not either "total genius" or "can't talk to anyone"? That sounds promising.

Okay, maybe not the best depiction of autism, but they explain that he has savant syndrome, so it’s actually a really good depiction of that at least. He still has social issues, which are a little over-the-too at times, but it doesn’t feel over super dramatic (for a medical show at least). If you have time, you should give it a watch to judge for yourself.

I love him in Dirty Harry. Escape From Alcatraz is a lot of fun too, but it's not really a character film. I haven't watched any of his Westerns though.

His directorial films are kind of meh in all honesty. Unforgiven is quite good, but not really my favorite. Then there is a whole bunch of Eastwood pictures which I find downright average (for example American Sniper, Flags of Our Fathers and Sully). And finally on the bottom there is J. Edgar...

Gran Torino was a masterpiece. I watched in my first film class, and I was impressed. Hopefully, Clint sticks around for a few more years.

He has one of the best filmography for me. Especially for people who like action stuff.

Dirty Harry, the Dollars trilogy and Escape from Alcatraz are pretty much legendary by now.

Unforgiven and Gran Torino are his best director ones with GT one of the best films of this century. Mystic River is a great film too, with amazing performances.

The Bridges of Madison County is a romantic staple.

The Rookie with Charlie Sheen, A Perfect World with Kevin Costner, In The Line of Fire also very high quality films.

Million Dollar Baby not one of my favorites, but still it got all those accolades.

The Mule was the last one i saw from him and it was also enjoyable. Nothing outstanding, but it was a well-structured movie with heart.

Nothing like Clint using the most common Polish name for his character there :p

    • Also it being illegal in France means the IOC will have to test everyone pre arriving at 2030 and can’t wait till they arrive at the Games to do so. I’m sure at 2028 for some sports testing will happen on site if it’s not a rule of its governing body for non Olympic events. So far only a few sports like Athletics and Boxing have that rule - I suspect others will adopt it but others might take time.
    • https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/olympics/articles/cpwj78lxypro ‘In France - one of a number of countries where genetic testing is illegal without a medical prescription due to privacy laws - the government has condemned the decision as "a step backwards". "It defines the female sex without taking into account the biological specificities of intersex individuals, whose sexual characteristics present natural variations, leading to a reductive and potentially stigmatising approach," claimed French Sports Minister Marina Ferrari.”   ‘A group of legal experts in human rights and sports have since expressed, external"urgent concern" about what they called "the regressive move toward genetic testing as a precondition of participation in women's sport" which they say "violate domestic and international laws that protect human rights and regulate the use of genetic testing and genetic information".  The group has called on athletes "to challenge the national or regional implementation of mandatory genetic sex testing, demanded by the IOC or international federations, before domestic courts, by invoking national or regional laws protecting human rights, prohibiting anti-discrimination, and regulating the use of genetic testing and genetic data".’   Domestic laws are more challenging for the IOC to deal with than CAS. Things could get complicated for a bit.
    • Except NOC’s and governing bodies have to still follow local laws. Particularly for Under 18’s there could certainly be domestic legal issues regarding associations paying for travel to other counties to circumvent a domestic ban. Child protection services don’t always act reasonable to attempts to break a domestic law.
