Ahmed El Gendy won't participate due to injury , i'm really afraid that it was too early to make him compete after Tokyo , because he caught another injury in shoulder it happens a lot to him

Decent fencing result for Joe Choong to sit in 4th place - if he can keep a clean round in the horse riding, he's got good chance of being in the fight for the Olympic quota.

 

for the women, Kerenza Bryson finished in 10th place - not bad, but probably leaves herself too much to do if she was going to be in the hunt for the quota. For Jess Varley, the fencing round was a nightmare and she sits bottom of the pile having managed just 7 wins.

I've just been using the UIPM website - it's not great but it is just about tolerable

So  Joe Choong safely qualifies for this weekend's final but Myles Pillage and Charlie Brown both miss out. 

 

Pillage's downfall was his poor fencing results because he is a sub 2 minute swimmer and his run was 11:30. Likewise Charlie Brown's swimming time is on par with Choong and his laser run time was under 11 minutes but again, he had only managed 12 fencing wins.
