Allison Dos Santos has had a knee operation today.

Good news is that although he should be out for 8-12 weeks, he's not been ruled out of competition for the season

Tentoglou's jump is also WL ;)

1. This got scratched because of an illegal shoe.

2. He’s just jumped 8.41WL.

3. Forget to mention that the Hauts-de-France Meet is on today.

4. The Hauts-de-France meet has just started.  Looks like a good one, the first meet with both the Europeans & North Americans going against each other.

Jacobs "only" 6.64 in the heats, final comin'up in a couple of minutes.

good results for 2 more Italians...Claudio Stecchi finally cleared 5.82m (new indoor NR, second only to Duplantis in the event) after 2 years out of the competitions because of many injuries, meanwhile Leonardo Fabbri got 21.53m in the men's shot put in Belgrade, beating all the big guys from the former Jugoslavija.

and Omanyala beat Jacobs (first loss in a 60m race in 3 years)

6.54 for the Kenian and 6.57 for the 100m Olympic champion (same time of last week in Lodz for him).

He had a lot to say about this:

And then a few hours later after writing "I don't care about an 8.40 jump...I can jump it whenever the fuck I want," he jumps 8.41

Also a lot of big names in the sport commented agreeing with him.

    • And this is the final Medal Table fo the XX Bolivarian Games in
    • Agreed. But OTOH, the chances of a Male Team pursuit medal also seem rather slim at the moment, so why the hassle of dropping someone.
    • I have a sports database with millions of entries, which I then convert graphically on my Wikipedia sandbox.
    • Wouldn't be surprised to see the same this time. The men's 500m has basically on or with luck two medal chances, but certainly not three (semi-realistic) ones. With Beau Snellink for now not exactly on his way to an Olympic ticket and Patrick Roest still questionable, that might only leave Chris Huizinga, Jorrit Bergsma and Marcel Bosker, and that is not exactly a group one would want to have in the team pursuit.
