Kristjan Ceh has an underwhelming performance for his standarts in a hometown meet, saving it from being a disspointing performance with a last round throw of 68.67 .....This  after  giving an interwiew in slovenia where he stated he will ''show Alekna who the boss is'' :yikes:when they meet in the summer[first meeting is at the DL in early July] Maybe he will, who knows ?,Just find it funny that he was underwhelming right afterwards:)

He threw well over 68m in rainy weather, so yeah, will see soon who is the boss.

World Athletics plan to reorganise Indoor Athletics as Short Track - as opposed to long track - and to harmonise these indoor short track records with outdoor city centre meets etc.

As i said, saved himself from a dissapointing meet with that one, could of thrown a long one on the first one when it wasn't raining but didn't,managed to not release the disc on the second attempt, threw another one outside the stadium bounds, not to mention the video footage wasn't the best, personally it really did not look like a high 68 mark to me,but i guess it was,All i'm saying is pride comes before the fall, and i'm seeing A LOOOOOOOOOOT of pride with him,so Kanter might want to reign that in.

Not the worst idea - hugely increases potential hosting opportunitis - lots of places in the southern hemisphere don't need a roof, probably moving towards a standardisation of the track dimensions, more focus on the camber, the bank turns, the short straights as a separate discipline to the 'long track'. Also allows 'short track' to experiment with new events ('weight-for-height, 'indoor' hammer, kilo, 200 m 'pursuit'-style starts, 2000m steeple etc...

    • In the worst case scenario for us, the conditions will be equal for everyone - something like in Beijing 2022. If the competition were held in Igls, Austria would have a huge advantage.
    • Yeah, but what I mean is: the sliding sports are by far the best sports for a home nation to vastly improve their medal chances, so make sure that track is done before anything else, because that will actually improve the medal chances..
    • yeah, to me was the biggest surprise of the 5. Maybe because of Borat movies, I was expecting something different, ended up going from "why would you go to Kazakhstan?" to "why didn't you go there sooner?" very quick. Most underrated country i've ever visited
    • The track in Cortina has a future but it needs to be used well: apply for a place in the World Cup calendar, to organize World Championships, etc. Encourage other countries to train there. Maybe open the track to tourists for recreational ride during some time: some tracks in Germany do this or La Plagne in France. Cortina has a good location: it`s a well-known resort with a large accommodation and restaurant base. Cesana was a much worse place - the venue for the 2006 Olympic Games in luge and bob sports. There was no infrastructure around there + the area had no tradition in these sports.
    • Is better than i expected, good, this help to me to try to convence my girlfriend to go in the future, thanks!!
    • Yes! And all in the same week. That is what i loved about Kazakhstan, has desert, mountains, canyons, snow, lots of different cool stuff.
    • So yeah, yet another big chance thrown away     When will countries learn? Once you get the Winter Olympics awarded, the very first step should be finishing the sliding track (if it isn't there already)
    • Some people explained it as Covid, but the work should start in 2021 at the latest. Paradoxically, the Meloni-Salvini government finally led to the construction of this track, and the previous technical government - Draghi did nothing in this direction. Although Draghi very often took pictures with athletes with medals. Salvini did at least 1 good thing in his political life  If it wasn't for his last-minute about-face, the competition would probably be in Switzerland or Austria. I didn't believe in options with Cesana + Cortina is a better place for this track to continue operating in the future (better location + tradition in luge and bobsleigh sports).
    • I do wrote two days ago to Glen on messenger and PM here to avlar but I dont get response yet...
