Wait, is Dvorsky supposed to be as good as Bedard and Michkov?

My bad, sorry was a typo, I thought I wrote top 3 and it was 2 lol :d

Yes, he is ranked just behind them, however His biggest advantage should be his hockey IQ, this kid is amazing at his age. I saw him playing by my on eyes and this was unbelievable how he read the game

So ideally you'd want to be like the 10th pick or something, to avoid being picked by a shitty team? :d It seems a little cruel to be this huge amazing talent, so much that you are choice number one, and because you're so good, you have to play for the worst team :yikes:

I do suppose you get like a one year contract or something and after that can actually make a choice as to where you go (or stay)? I'm no expert obviously, I only know the draft exists in these sports, but I'm wondering at which point in the entire process a player gets to the point where he can actually make a choice instead of just being picked and sold and traded without any say in it like a cheap pair of shoes :p

no, the entry level contract is 3 years long (and gives you a lower salary than the average, of course...it's all written in the rules of the collective bargaining agreement)...

of course a player can refuse to play for a team that drafted him, but he has to play in another league for the whole 3 years of his original entry level contract...after that, he becomes free agent and can search for a deal with any team he wants...

    • this is not funny at all, pal
    • I think I can live with the draw , not a bad group at all. just a week ago our mafia coach said his dream group is Belgium, Egypt and Haiti, he almost got that !   but it's really hard for me (and so many others) to cheer for this team, A mafia boss coach, disgusting group of players. I never had this feeling about any NT in any sport before but still the national team is the national team. you have to like it  coaches and players come and go, the team is what matters.   if the team makes it to the competition, I'm sure there will be lots of Iranians in the stadium despite the orange's ban, that will never be a problem.
    • Belgium is the luckiest in this story
