Yes, i would organize autumn TISC, but no one let me know about it. I am confused a bit…

He always wad, but seems he is not active for now, maybe @Sindo would contact with him or someone else will take care of it?

If you want to organize it, then i say go ahead. You can open a new topic and copy the info from the previous contests. Then we will see how many people would want to participate.

I just send an mail to OlympicIRL yesterday about TISC and he told me that recently his motovation was very low to organize anything as seems that idea of TISC was by most people abandoned by low interest. So, I understand him as organizing such event is very time consuming and difficult (especially when you decided to have an opening ceremony) if you are doing everything alone. But Im still hoping that somebody will take it. Time will tell.

To be honest, I'm afraid I have not enough time to organize TISC this year. If someone would organize contest instead of me, it's possible.

Hi everyone,

 

I’m currently traveling in Malaysia but will return next week. As I stated to Sindo recently, I had some mixed feelings about TISC lately. In the last few editions it saw interest go down considerably and I guess with that, it impacted my motivation as it does take a lot of effort and dedication to keep it running.

 

But of course you all know I love TISC and I have poured a lot of time and energy into it over the years. So I may be prepared to organise it myself later this year. I’ll wait until I am home next week before letting you know.

Ok so I have given it some thought this week and I am willing to try to organise a contest. It is getting quite late in the year so the Grand Final might have to wait until after Christmas and New Year but let’s see how things go.

 

I will probably make it a more stripped down version to make it more manageable to organise but I think having the contest at all is more important.

 

Also I think I’d rather make this the Annual edition since we did not have an Annual contest this year and I think it would be nice to keep that tradition alive. The Open Contest allows us to pick songs from almost any period so there will always be a chance to showcase those songs any year. But for Annuals, it has to be songs released in the last 12 months and those songs haven’t had a contest since the 2024 Annual so I think it’s better to host the 2025 Annual now and then figure out where things go from there.
