Australian WC qualifiers campaign lasted more than 1000 days, It started in September 2019 and ended this years June :d

Also Fun Fact:

Today :AUS ended a crazy WC streak, All Last 3 goals they scored at WC were all from Penalties (all by same player Mile Jedinak)

Except for the ones mentioned here earlier today, these matches are also listed as the biggest surprises all-time.

1954 WC Final: :GER vs :HUN 3:2 (Hungary earlier won against Germany 8:3 in the group and lead the final 2:0 after just 8 minutes)

1974 WC: :GDR vs :GER 1:0 (the only all-German match in the WC history... West Germany took the title later on)

1990 WC: :CMR vs :ARG 1:0 (Cameroon defeated the defending champions in the opener despite getting 2 (!!) red cards)

I would add :SVK - :ITA from 2010 as well among upsets, because such thing can happen once in a millenium, you know

There's Slovakia beating Italy at the World Cup, and there's North freaking Macedonia keeping Italy out of the World Cup altogether.... :p

1990 World Cup comes to mind - :ENG vs :NED and :IRL vs :EGY in Group F.

2010 World Cup

:POR vs :BRA in the afternoon and :SUI vs :HON at night (even if it was the last day of the group stage, therefore there were 2 other matches at the same time both in the afternoon and at night, but still it's double 0-0 in 2 consecutive time slots of the same day).

    • I have reported this again and they said it should be fixed now, please let me know if you are still facing issues.
    • more countries added to the list of US ban    you can't travel to USA if you are from : burkina faso , niger , Laos , South sudan , mali , sierra leon ...
    • Yes, but what I mean for Serbia is that everything changed there (unfortunately for us ). 2022 was an unbelievable mess, that's not the case anymore now with just one athlete who has really gone for it and made it, so I'm 99% sure they'll accept it this time.   Who knows though. Plus there's always 1-2 bigger countries here or there who reject something, but it's not gonna be 16 places I'm afraid
    • Doping by Event Type When we look at which events have the most doping cases, a few categories stand out from recent sanction records: Long Distance (3,000m and above): 32% of cases Sprints (400m or less): 24% of cases Jumps: 12% of cases Javelin: 8% of cases Middle Distance (800m–1,500m): 8% of cases Hammer: 8% of cases Steeplechase (3,000m SC): 4% of cases
    • From 2020 to 2025    These three countries alone make up almost two-thirds (61.9%) of all current doping violations in athletics worldwide. It’s worth noting that 199 of World Athletics’ 214 member federations have no athletes on the current ban list. This means the problem is really concentrated in a small number of places. Here’s a look at the top countries: Rank Country Total Violations Percentage Region 1 Kenya 119 24.74% Africa 2 India 108 22.45% Asia 3 Russia 73 15.18% Europe 4 China 26 5.40% Asia 5 Turkey 20 4.16% Europe 6 Italy 18 3.74% Europe 7 South Africa 18 3.74% Africa 8 Ukraine 17 3.53% Europe 9 United States 16 3.33% North America 10 Morocco 15 3.12% Africa
