Cross-Country Skiing at the Nordic Skiing FIS World Championships 2019

What an interesting race on the womens side ... at least for the first 500 m ...

Is Johaug the one who got caught or was that Bjoergen?

Attachment is the great fabricator of illusions; reality can be obtained only by someone who is detached.

It's Symbicort Games since Norway got spanked in Liberec 2009 and had to do something about it. The rest is irrelevant.

Much better for the men, six fighting for the medals. Make that five now.

Klaebo looks dead tired.

Patrick and Mike are better suited for biathlon. Bolshunov was a strong candidate to "drop out" ten kilometers ago for Patrick.

Patrick Winterton and Mike Dixon, English language Eurosport commentators...

Sorry, I thought they might've been more famous in these parts, but anyway...they are Eurosport's commentators on biathlon, and sometimes cross-country as today. Patrick Winterthon and Mike Dixon, Mike is a former biathlete and indeed, favourite of mine between the two.

They love everything British-Canadian-American. Very annoying.

    • There will be specialized double sculls...just not for an NOC if it is entering singles specialists.   Either enter 2 singles specialists, or 1 XD specialist pair.   But they can in theory compete in both events, I guess, if they qualify...our top M, I think, does both.   But there are 17M, 17W, and 30 Pairs allotted in the quota, so I don't think the intent is that every singles entry will be in doubles.   (Perhaps this gets to fall in line with Weightlifting, where due to max entry quota, an NOC can't enter in every event, even if they have the best athletes...here, unless you have a pair who qualifies in both.)
