Sagi Muki should have been punished with a third shido against the Belgian judoka, but the referee kept giving him extra chances and he eventually beat the Belgian guy. Now he has a gold medal. Come on, this is ridiculous.

Grand Slam (Baku, AZE)

Day #3 Recap

5 different Countries won the 5 weight categories held today in the final day of the GS tournament in Baku...

among the Ladies, in the -78kg there was an all :GER German Gold Medal match, where Luise Malzahn defeated Anna Maria Wagner, meanwhile in the +78kg class, it was :UKR Ukraine to gain the top prize (thanks to Yelyzaveta Kalanina)...

in the men's division, today's headlines are for :SRB Serbia (Nemanja Majdov, -90kg), :NED Netherlands (Michael Korrel, -100kg) and :GEO Georgia (Gela Zaalishvili, +100kg)...

Because of those results, after 3 days of exciting (and sometimes funny, really funny ) action, :JPN Japan and :BRA Brazil won the medal table with 2 Gold Medals each, followed by :AZE Azerbaijan, :ISR Israel, :MDA Moldova, :FRA France , :GER Germany, :UKR Ukraine, :SRB Serbia, :NED Netherlands, :GEO Georgia and :ESP Spain with 1 Gold Medal each...

there's strange incident happened in men' -81 kg for our athlete Mohamed Abdelaal , well he didn't show up against Saied Mollaei then only after 30 minutes he played against Briand Ettiene from Canada and defeated him 10-1 , so i wonder what was the actual reason for his withdrawal against Mollaei @MHSN do u know anything about this match ?

no idea :mumble: our judo federation is not that good in covering the news. they just say Mollaei beat his Egyptian opponent and I assume they just follow the live scores like us.

    • Ben Hebert: "... We have a hockey mentality on our curling team, we’re not going to be bullied and pushed over by a bunch of Swedish guys out there that are getting their a**es handed to them." “We didn’t have any of that, we finished at the top of the podium with the gold and they finished dead last, so I think that says a lot.” Hebert is long known in curling media circles for not being afraid to speak his mind, and he didn’t let up in his ire when it came to the genesis of the entire situation -- Eriksson. “That snake in the grass,” Hebert said. “The stuff he tried to pull at the Olympics is not very Olympia of him… I lost a lot of respect for him with the stuff he tried to pull.
