couple more news...

finally, Nazem Kadri signs with...surprise, surprise...the Calgary Flames:yikes: :yikes: :yikes:

7-million/year for 7 years is the new deal...and the Flames send Sean Monahan to Montreal to make room for Kadri in the salary cap...

always in Montreal, but not for a good news...

Carey Price, in fact, might be out for the whole season (at least his salary would not be counted against the salary cap, making 10.5 million free to find someone to replace him)...

  • 1 month later...

In the same day of the retirement of 3 among the greatest defensemen in the history of the NHL (Zdeno Chara, P.K. Subban and Keith Yandle...see apprpriate thread), Nathan McKinnon signed a new mega-deal with Colorado...

100.8 million US dollars is the supposed (not officially confirmed yet) amount of money he will get in the next 8 years with the Avalanche (12.6 annual value).

This is the 4th most expensive deal ever signed by an NHL player/franchise (meanwhile the annual value is the highest in the history of the league).

    • If Colturi were to return to Italy, we will have another super duo after Goggia and Brignone. If Colturi has to return, it would be right now, when alpine skiing is so popular here. There are still girls like Pirovano, who are quite young and are already started winning. Alpine skiing in Italy is similar to ski jumping in Poland: there are speak about no young talents, but there is always someone new – it is a matter of the popularity of these sports in these countries and the large amounts of money invested in them.

    • Holdener beat Aicher for 2nd place by 0.04 so Aicher has to win the last GS to have any chance for the overall (trails Shiffrin by 85 pts).
    • Shiffrin wins by 1.32 secs! Business as usual
    • Anna Trocker takes the lead despite a big mistake. Maybe there is some future for  alping skiing
    • Lucas seems to be on another level in Giant Slalom right now.
    • Pinheiro Braathen wins the last GS and the small globe! Odermatt DNF in the first run and he's really tailed off in the last races.
