no.8 seed :HUN Lisa Pusztai already out in the first round of the women's Individual Sabre..

She was aweful so was her opponent to whom she lost . Too bad our fencer couldn't beat the German in what was a close match.

Really nice World Championships for India. Multiple players progressing beyond group stage. Bhavani Devi narrowly losing in R32. Small steps but atleast steps in right direction.

the individual events today are very late, really behind schedule...

I wonder if the final session is going to start later than expected? :mumble:

p.s. quite a good number of surprising results so far in the women's sabre (but the top 2 seeds are still there and looking good)...and of course the Italians are all out by the round of 16...:hairpull: :nopompom:

Gergő Szemes in the men's foil QFs, he continues to be one of most promising Hungarian talents since... I can't even remember the last time we had results like this in men's foil. :d

    • I still shocks, that a country of 4-5 million inhabitants? can be a powerhouse in almost every winter sport + handball, football (most recently with Haaland) and athletics: Ingebrigtsen, Warholm, etc. With such a small population, they can't be missing out on any major talent, surely? This must be the best training system in the world...
