For me Japan is a clear favorite here , they have been really dominant in recent friendlies , great WC defeating Germany and Spain and barely losing to Croatia in Penalties , Same Coach from 2018 , big motives as they didn't win it since 2011 , they will be missing a key player like Mitoma whom was added to their final list I believe , so maybe they plan to use him at the very closing stages IDK .

Korea is their biggest competitor here with 4 world class players providing a great season Son , Hwang Hee Chan was absolutely insane with Wolves this season , Kang in Lee with PSG and Kim Min Jae with Napoli last season , he hasn't impressed much with Bayern this season , but still he's definitely one of the best defenders in the world , the only concern with this team is Klinsmann , he has never succeeded in any team after Germany National team , I don't believe in him returning this missing title to Korea since 1960

Iran is always a favorite , but they were much better in 2015 and 2019 with the same coach and yet they didn't win,  so it would be a surprise if they win here

Australia is another favorite , they were really good in last WC , they could have even turn tables on Argentina in R16 , but it's not a strong generation and definitely Japan and Korea has better Squad

Saudi Arabia is always a team to follow , they hadn't done any good results since 2007 final and this crazy signings of world class players made a lot of players in Saudi National team prisoners of bench this season and actually some of them want to return back to Europe like Benzema and Firminio , the league hasn't been recognized globally , only Cristiano Fans watchins his matches and Sports' Media covering his news with Benzema maybe and that's it , so I guess this experiment didn't achieve any of its goals , even on technical side many of these old players except Ronaldo didn't provide any extra thing to Saudi Pro League

Outsiders : last Editions has provided that even in Asia there are outsiders for the title with Iraq winning in 2007 and Qatar winning in 2019 , UAE was so close in 2015 , so yeah surprises happen even in Asia , as long as the tournament on Arabic Soil I predict this outsider to be an Arabic team so it can be Iraq , Qatar didn't prove anything since winning last edition so I doubt

    • Good start for us with 3 total medals so far.    Angel Rusev took his 6th straight European title.   With this he equals Yoto Yotov and passed a bunch of other Bulgarian legends who have 5.  Above him are Nikolay Peshalov with 8th and Naim Süleymanoğlu with 7th (there could be others with such records, but i don't have the full statistics).   A shame that Rusev's overall level isn't on par on a worldwide scale, but we all know that Europe has practically taken a backseat in weightlifting the past 20 years, with the exception of a few individuals.

    • Looks like i severely overestimated the intelligence of the average Bulgarian.. Tragic result, but will see what happens now. Initial stance last night was that there won't be any EU blockage, but we will be "standing our ground on Bulgaria's interests", whatever that means. The campaign and the whole election cycle was more towards our domestic problems, corruption and status quo. There wasn't much foreign rhetoric, even though everyone knows Radev's position.   It's basically wait and see at this point. Like i mentioned before, this guy isn't as bombastic as Orban, but more tactical and cunning, so i don't expect fireworks in front of whole Europe.
    • First careers Play-off hattrick for Juraj Slafkovský last night in the opening Stanley Cup Play-Offs 1st round. That was like million years since it happened last time from a Slovak player
    • Do they have to make every sport a mass sport? There are mass sports and elite sports, and let's keep it that way. Not every sport has to be global, so let them back off and to leave fencing with safe...

    • To give some insight into how ridiculous Angharad's time was, the mixed relay that includes her, the infamous female breaststroker, is one second quicker than the four that includes Adam ****ing Peaty.   It's VERY rare your quickest mixed 4 includes your female breaststroker - the slowest stroke also creates, generally the biggest 'sex' gap. But if your male stroker is relatively very weak (think USA Tokyo 2020) it can be explained.   When your male stroker is Adam Peaty, backed up by Filip Nowacki, its insane.
    • Doesn't seem to be major changes.   Section 3.B has been updated in relation to the host nation quota to introduce 'eligible' into the criteria. In the new version, 'if the host country has not already qualified an athlete, the highest-placed host country eligible athlete based on the final results of the Olympic Games 2028 Qualification Event will directly obtain a quota place. If the host country has already had one or two athletes qualify via alternate pathways, the host country quota position will not be granted and will be reallocated.'   There is also a change to section F1 and F2 to introduce gender criteria - 'If an allocated quota place is not confirmed by the NOC by the confirmation of quota places deadline, or is declined by the NOC, the quota place will be reallocated to the next highest placed eligible athlete not yet qualified of the same gender from the same qualification event where the quota place was allocated , adhering to the maximum number of quota places per NOC, as outlined above (B.2).'
