The team manager of BORA has said Buchmann's 4th place has inspired them so much that next year they're going for the podium....and to do so, they need a stronger team, so "maybe we won't take any sprinter with us". Bye bye Sagan  

 

Rumours saying Sagan is going to the Giro next year (for the first time), + Tokyo is only a couple of days after the Tour I expect some riders missing tour next year

Sagan is someone who could definitely feature in the road race should he choose to race it over his mountain bike adventure. Imagine a mountain bike race with Van de Poel and Sagan. That would be fun (especially when they both lose)

It would indeed be 'fun' to see Sagan's antics, somewhere a few minutes behind Van der Poel, Avancini and Schurter

Giro would be an excellent choice. Tokyo road race would be a logical one, although even for someone like Sagan - known as someone who doesn't have much troubles getting over the big mountains - the course might be a tiny bit hard with for example a 6km climb of 10%

Road race has all the right factors of being fun no matter what.

Yay, the Tour of Portugal started, the yearly festival of "WTF is happening?" and "Haha that guy is sprinting up that steep climb as if it's a downhill!"  

 

In the prologue, we've got 3rd place for a 39-year old Spaniard riding for the slightly suspicious W52/FC Porto team. A few days ago he was still chilling on the beach, until sadly Raul Alarcon couldn't participate due to issues and the whole Volta kinda got beheaded by it.

Building on my previous post, today was so much the Volta/Tour of Portugal   

 

The first regular stage was won by Davide Appolonio, who came back only a few weeks ago from a four year EPO suspension

Floyd Landis, known for getting the yellow in the Tour de France of 2006, then losing 8 minutes in the next stage by some absolute disaster (didn't eat well enough they said, probably the doping had some adverse effect)....only to win the next stage with an epic solo taking back almost everything he had lost the very next day  (after this stage he tested positive, it turned out later, much to the surprise of nobody)

 

Now he has a team
