Probably she will go down to 5 or 6 at most. And she barely has any points to defend until the US Open, so I think she'll be okay. The gap between 2 and 6 is very slim, and Jabeur for example has a lot of points to defend and also Sabalenka, which as of now they won't be able to do at Wimbledon. Monzanator 3,827 Posted May 27, 2022 #44 Share Posted May 27, 2022 Another injury for Karolina Muchova who rolled her ankle in the second set vs Amanda Anisimova and had to retire half-way through the third.

Makedonas 1,911 Posted May 28, 2022 #46 Share Posted May 28, 2022 I can't stand Giorgi but I'm sure @Monzanatoris happy At least now Sabalenka can't pass Sakkari in the rankings, so Maria should stay top 5 unless Pegula makes the final or Fernandez wins the title. Monzanator 3,827 Posted May 28, 2022 #47 Share Posted May 28, 2022 You bet! The Alpha ball-basher of the tour Camila Giorgi takes out BBB apprentice Aryna Sabalenka 4-6 6-1 6-0!
NMQ 222 Posted May 28, 2022 #48 Share Posted May 28, 2022 Kontaveit to be world number 2 unless Pegula wins the title. If Iga doesn't win now is the upset of the decade.
Wanderer 1,612 Posted May 28, 2022 #49 Share Posted May 28, 2022 Of all the names in women's draw in the 4th round, Giorgi is the biggest surprise. All other girls had so far good clay season and had proven in the past they can really play, no matter how obscure these name sound to other people, but still, inability of so-called top 10 to deliver at slams is appalling. Of them all, I am mostly pissed for Jabeur. She didn't have good draw, Linette was good that day and nerves got on her as well as a lot of play in the recent time. Hopefully she can deliver during grass season and have some make up at Wimbledon, at least QF again would be satisfying.
