:yikes::IRI   big surpise!!!!!!!!

For the first time Brazil don't reach the podium (worst result was 3rd place in 2004....)

Iran, always present from 1992 (best result 4th place in 1992), today make history!!!!!

The other two matches without surprises: Spain and Portugal won. ;)

Last day of Round of 16, with Italy vs Egypt  :fingers: , Argentina vs Ukraine and Thailand vs Azebaijan

Yay, glad to know Portugal won! :d :POR

But costa rica probably wouldn't be that much of a strong opponent, no? I'm curious about where can this Portuguese team go :p

So without Brazil and Italy, who's the favourite now? Spain?

Btw, I'm not a usual fan of Futsal (wasn't even aware of the World Cup until I saw it here in Totallympics :lol:), but there is one thing I remember watching that got me really impressed, and that I think it's worth of sharing with you all: a superb goal from one of our players, Ricardinho :yikes::yikes:

Spain was always the favorite, maybe only slightly behind Brazil, I think the winner of Russia/Spain match will win the title.

here is the ranking, giving you a better idea about strength of teams

btw congrats to Egypt, I didn't see that coming, last night I watched Thailand-"Brazil B/C" , crazy game, Thailand could win if they were smarter. I believe 3 of those guys got their 2nd yellows against Thailand, making the match easier for Portugal in QF.
