Cinnamon Bun 389 Posted April 8, 2022 #17 Share Posted April 8, 2022 How come each division are separated into 2 groups, surely all teams are good enough to compete in 1.

Both groups of one division are in fact part of one division. There are currently in the IIHF program 4 different inferior divisions I, II, III and IV, And within these divisions the teams are divided into two performance levels sort of Group A and Group B, Often about 12 teams, 6 of them let´s call them stronger in group A (They play for promotion to higher Division) and the other six with a "lower performance" in group B playing for the maintain in the division (With the better of this lower group having each year the chance to win promotion to the stronger group and there next year to play for higher division).
