Despite the medium level, what final between Sidorova and Morris :woot:

What??? 6 girls cleared 4.80 m, the most 4.80 m clearance at world championships before today was 3. In 2017 4.65 m was enough for bronze ...

The level of women's pole vault is absolutely insane!

He had many health issues this year and is not 100% fit.

I don't see it getting any better for him next year ...

There are too many talented runners, even without Amos and with Kenya being pretty weak. In the 1500 m he might have a chance for a medal in a slow race (like Lewandowski).

Absolutely amazing how Women's Pole Vault evolved over the past couple of years, especially regarding the number of top jumpers. 6 over 4.80m, 12 over 4.70m, all 17 finalists over 4.50m. Two years ago 4.65m were enough to grab Bronze.

    • Yeah. It was pretty bad that they cancel the contract with the original creative director after 7 months of work. I feel like politics, in this particular context of the changing of prime minister and the cabinet, may had caused changes in organizational decisions regarding the Sea Games including the direction of the opening ceremony.
    • That's what I figured.  Wouldn't be a proper lead up to an Olympics without some media-fueled fearmongering.
    • Today : Jordan 3-0 Egypt  This team will surprise us
