After a strong day yesterday, Day 7 seems to be a lot quieter. Our medal hopes will mostly be in short track (women's 1000m) and speed skating (men's 10000m). I'll be keeping an eye on women's skeleton to see if we can put ourselves in a good position tomorrow.

Rahneva had a great first run!

She'll be in 1st after the first run, good lead on others.  AUS lady had a horrible looking run but was the only one that came pretty close.

    • I still shocks, that a country of 4-5 million inhabitants? can be a powerhouse in almost every winter sport + handball, football (most recently with Haaland) and athletics: Ingebrigtsen, Warholm, etc. With such a small population, they can't be missing out on any major talent, surely? This must be the best training system in the world...
    • FIFA announced the stadium and time for each match   for  Iran, it will be 2 matches in LA (and not just 1) and 1 in Seattle and luckily we avoided playing in Canada. absolutely nothing against the country, but there are just too many douchebag Iranian groups in Vancouver trying to mix everything with their stupid politics. it's better to stay away from them.   that can happen in US too but less likely. playing in LA is more like playing at home, at least I hope so. 2022 Qatar was a disaster from our point of view, hopefully this one remains only about football.
