So excited!! I'm super curious to see how Homan/Morris play... Morris looked good during the Olympic trials but I personally didn't think Homan was at her best.

Rip the CBC intro

Yeah, definitely a very interesting theme. I was kind of hoping they would bring back the theme from 2008 to be honest.

An expected loss vs :GBR but the real story is both Homan and Morris struggled. THey gotta pick it up because bronze medalists from PC2018 are next.

Yeah, definitely not a great game, but Canada also struggled in the first game in 2018 too and went on a tear the rest of the way. Not concerned yet. On the other hand, having Great Britain, Norway and Switzerland as the first 3 opponents is a brutal trio of games to start the tournament.

I didn’t find Homan struggled at all. Morris couldn’t get it though lol

She missed a few shots but the fact that they played this poorly and still kept it relatively close against the world champion is promising.

I really liked how Morris was able to regain his game after his awful start and Homan made some really great shots... she looks much better than she did at Olympic trials.

I'm also so pleased that they were able to keep the game so close, playing the way they did against one of the best teams in the competition who already had experience on this ice. Excited to see how they rebound tomorrow morning (our time)!!

    • I'll post significant changes periodically. I'll start with the recently added/updated documents.   Archery The addition of mixed compound (12M & 12W) forced a reduction on the recurve side. The mixed compound quotas are distributed as follows   Host - 1 World Championships - 3 Continental Games - 5 World Ranking List - 2 Final Qualifier - 1   To compensate the team events will now only have 8 nations. 2 quotas were removed from the World Ranking List and 2 were removed from the Final Qualifier.   Individual recurve and mixed recurve distribution is the same

Overall, there's a lot to do, for example, compared to Budapest, but unfortunately, this is Italy How many years has Roma been building their new stadium, and they keep pushing back the completion date- now I read it's 2030? and it should be ready. The same goes for Milan- there should be a modern complex of indoor swimming pools with 50 meters pools, etc., but there's a problem with one stupid football stadium, which will only be built after an ultimatum from UEFA

She wasn’t a top-tier athlete in that program anymore. She was at the end of her career. I would personally would rather race against Katie. She’s not as competitive as the other athletes,” he said. “It’s probably really unfair to say and not really where I want to go with this but that’s where we are with that.”   Uhlaender: “If I were Canada, I would be concerned in how this coach is representing the Olympic values for his country,” Uhlaender told Fox News Digital. “He hurt a whole field of athletes, all with dreams, and this sends the message that they don’t matter unless they are number one. All athletes matter, and we all deserve to compete fairly, with integrity, and respect. He did not respect anyone in that field. “This is not about my resume or how good the athletes were in the race. This is about the fact that he intentionally manipulated the competition to hurt myself and 13 other countries because he felt it necessary to eliminate all possibility. That is against the spirit of sport and not what the Olympic movement represents.”   Isn't it great when other people's dirty laundry is aired?  /sarcasm     (I was a little surprised to see NPR pick this up, but per this article, Uhlaender preemptively recorded the phone call after receiving a text from Cecchini that said he had 'bad news' for her.)
