Sage Watson improved her PB by more than 1s already this year, sadly i cant say that i am surprised ...

Olympic years are really horrible in this aspect, too many athletes think they can get away with anything, hopefully this wont be the case. :fingers:

2011 - 59.00

2012 - 58.04

2013 - 56.81

2015 - 55.97

2016 - 54.82

And she's still only 21. This jump didn't come out of nowhere, it's been gradual.

Then why would you accuse her of doping if you knew that these jumps have been normal for her

I really dont want to discuss this with you, we will never agree. I wouldnt call those jumps normal.

1) Its her biggest improvement since 2013 and much bigger than her improvement from 2014 to 2015

2) Its still very early in the season, so its very likely that she will further improve this year

3) Most importantly: There is a huge difference between improving from 58.04 to 56.81 (2012 to 2013) and improving from 55.97 to 54.82 (2015 to 2016). Normally the jumps get smaller when you get older, but with her it seems to be the other way round.

4) What happened to her in 2014?

5) She turns 22 in less than a month, thats not really young for a female athlete. A one second jump wouldve been normal for a 18 or 19 yo girl maybe but not for a girl turning 22 this year. Last year she was 45th in world ranking, with her time of 54.82 she wouldve been 17th last year (less than 0.5s outside the top 10), which is also a "remarkable" improvement.

You probably know what i generally think about canadian athletics/swimming and i know that you will never agree with me on this topic, so we really dont need to fight this out again and again. I wont be surprised by any canadian athlete showing huge improvements this year (i was absolutely not surprised to see such huge improvements by Oleksiak, Acevedo or Masse), so this was probably the last time that i wrote something concerning this topic.

As a canadian fan you will be very happy with the results in Rio, you will win at least 10-12 medals in athletics/swimming and at least one gold medal.

Apart from her apparently really focussing more on 400mH than anything else this season much more than previous seasons. A whole lot of her 400mH results in the other seasons came on the same day as a 400m, meaning she was never really focussing on just one event.

There's not a whole lot of fishy going on here I'm guessing.

This is the perfect end to this "discussion".
