Be fair. Slovan won eight matches this year. It's half of his wins from last season, but it's not half of this season yet so it is some sort of progress ;)

Yeah, they just can´t stop progressing since they decided to "improve and help Slovak hockey" by leaving our championship for KHL :d

Finally first point for the U20 National Team in our championship this season ! After 15 consecutive regular time loses they lost today to Nové Zámky 3-4 after the penalty shoot-out thus won their first point.

Provisional current Standing. (worth to mention that after 18 rounds, both Hungarian teams already collected each of them 17 points, which is quite good considering their disastrous start)

Winning a match when you are 0-5 down is quite unusual, even more when you are losing by one goal 10 seconds to go, this unique and epic turnover happened yesterday in our 3rd national championship tier (2. Hokejová Liga) Partizánské was down against Senica 0-5 after the first period, but scored 4 goals to reduce the score to 4-5, then came the historic moment.

10 seconds to go, face-off in the offensive zone, goalie pulled-up, surviving the opponents attempt to your empty net meaning icing, so another face-off in the offensive zone and then the tying goal 5-5 only 4 seconds to go !

But this still not was the end. The home team won the face-off and scored a incredible goal from the medial zone in the last second of the match to win 6-5 !

Wow...

here the video of the last 10 seconds, Partizánské was down 4-5

Marco Sturm the man who led Germany through some really impressive successes, especially last years epic Olympic silver medal fairy tale in PyeongChang will coach Germany this weekend for the last time, After the Deutschland Cup he´ll move to NHL to become the assistant coach of the LA Kings. The Californian team fired the former coach John Stevens last Sunday and signed Willie Desjardins as the interim coach.

The name of the new German NT coach will be unveiled later

    • Despite total domination by the Norwegian men (and yes, it's exhausting and boring), the accomplishments this weekend of Emil Iversen and Einar Hedegart are worth highlighting, despite them being Norwegian.    Iversen was dropped by the Norwegian national team after the opener in Beitostølen 2 weeks ago and was not taken to Ruka. Instead, he won both the 10k and 20k Interval Classic starts in Gålå in the Norwegian Cup last week, which granted him a spot on the start line in Trondheim. He took full advantage of that opportunity and finished on the podium in the skiathlon, and finished just off the podium in today's 10k Interval Freestyle. This definitely puts his name in serious contention for a spot on the Olympic team, which looked incredibly doubtful just a few days ago.    Einar Hedegart, the 24-year-old biathlete who decided to challenge the stereotype that biathletes are inferior skiers to their cross-country counterparts, just won the 10k Interval Start against all of Norway's best in a de facto Olympic trial.    Yes, it's exhausting seeing nothing but Norwegian flags on the men's side, but there can be excitement just beneath the surface at times.
