Completely out-of-the-blue bronze for :GBR women’s TS after :NED fail to read the rules & :CAN mess up a handover. We’ll take that, event has been a problem for us in the last decade.

Everyone just casually thinking "oh sure, this'll be fine, let's not chase her" when Fidanza attacked

Nice to see the men's team sprint be a bit close for a moment, although in the end...it just wasn't :p

Can't wait for Ganna and Lambie going for superb times in the unbroadcasted qualifying.

Wow, how did Gros give it away twice against Genest? Those were amateur moves, she simply opened the door and off she went :yikes:

She's not showing any sign of tactical progression :wall:

But paradoxically, her best achievements are in Keirin, where you would think tactics play a bigger part ... maybe something to do with her gear ratio ?

    • There will be specialized double sculls...just not for an NOC if it is entering singles specialists.   Either enter 2 singles specialists, or 1 XD specialist pair.   But they can in theory compete in both events, I guess, if they qualify...our top M, I think, does both.   But there are 17M, 17W, and 30 Pairs allotted in the quota, so I don't think the intent is that every singles entry will be in doubles.   (Perhaps this gets to fall in line with Weightlifting, where due to max entry quota, an NOC can't enter in every event, even if they have the best athletes...here, unless you have a pair who qualifies in both.)

    • I read the Olympic qualification documents for weightlifting. A country can have the opportunity to send a maximum of 4 athletes in one gender, but the conditions are very strict.
    • world champion Jessica Schilder opened her season up with 19.78 in France.
    • wait! what???   so, there won't be specialized double sculls, but those boats would have to feature 2 single specialists if a Nation wants to enter 2 proper singles M+W??? tell me I misread the expalaination...
