LDOG 2,199 Posted August 4, 2018 #116 Share Posted August 4, 2018 Ireland in the final, with respect, is an incredible sucession of strange events. They are here because England somehow didn't win they first two games despite having lots of chances + because Argentina had a bad day against Germany + because Belgium and Germany somehow lost to Spain despite being both better teams than Spain + on top of all that they won two consecutive shootouts! Mind-boggling.

I don't know, the dutch usually don't screw around against low ranked teams. Ireland has some weapons but the difference in technique is just massive. And certainly did not think it would be hockey that would provide us with our first ever appearance in a world final.
