I hate that IAAF cancelled qualification in field events

It is not fair that only 12 athletes in High jump but 35 athletes in run events (3000m, 400m)...

Run run run

Sadly WA aka IAAF treated the field events like a pariah for years. They finally found an official excuse to disregard those events even more now.

Viktória Forster  (60m & 60m Hurdles)

+1 Monika Weigertová in W 60m.

WA informed our federation about the increase of starters in the event to 56 and thus invited Weigertová t compete in Belgrade.

Funny enough we never had any lady competing in the 60m in the past WChs but suddenly we will have 2 in Belgrade and they will be our only women in the entire team :p

Goal of the team:  Semifinal for Volko :fingers:

I hope that with Gismondi will be different, especially since she was already a great talent in her junior years. The problem in Italy is that for the past 15 years, aside from Pellegrino, there has been a miss of stability in other athletes: there are some booms of excellent form, but later they disappear. I also worry that funding for cross-country skiing will be cut after the Cortina Olympics.
