Isn't like 2:30 pm Beijing time actually past midnight on East coast already? That doesn't make much sense for US TV to postpone GS by so much?

Probably more a matter of the venue being able to handle both events that the gap is so large.  This definitely isn't for the benefit of American television

I may be wrong ofc, I thought because Snowboarding was moved from 02:30 to 05:00 because of Figure Skating and Shiffrin GS 1st round was moved earlier...

 

But yeah I think I was wrong, this does not make much sense. Appologies
