So will they now have women's GS and men's downhill at the same time or will they schedule the downhill in between the two GS runs? I hope they will do the latter have the latter at 5am tomorrow.

Have to imagine if they have the downhill tomorrow, they'll try and fit it in between the runs of the women's GS.

What? There will be 5 hours between the runs of GS? :hairpull:

I strongly suspect the :USA TV may caused this, since also the M Snowboard Slopestyle was moved to 5 AM

Isn't like 2:30 pm Beijing time actually past midnight on East coast already? That doesn't make much sense for US TV to postpone GS by so much? ;)

Isn't that the same time then as the downhill?

Probably more a matter of the venue being able to handle both events that the gap is so large.  This definitely isn't for the benefit of American television

I may be wrong ofc, I thought because Snowboarding was moved from 02:30 to 05:00 because of Figure Skating and Shiffrin GS 1st round was moved earlier...

But yeah I think I was wrong, this does not make much sense. Appologies :d

    • Yeah. It was pretty bad that they cancel the contract with the original creative director after 7 months of work. I feel like politics, in this particular context of the changing of prime minister and the cabinet, may had caused changes in organizational decisions regarding the Sea Games including the direction of the opening ceremony.
    • That's what I figured.  Wouldn't be a proper lead up to an Olympics without some media-fueled fearmongering.
    • Today : Jordan 3-0 Egypt  This team will surprise us
    • option no.2 for sure, as it's been all this shitstorm organized by the nhl owners through their embedded reporters   ps not that the north american audience looks really aware of the hockey rules and habits outside the nhl (and around their game, too, since they look not to know that just a couple of weeks ago they played 2 nhl matches on an ice sheet of the exact same size of Milan's olympic arena)
    • Are we supposed to take Daly's word for it or is this just public posturing to try and shame the Milan organizers (which they certainly deserve for all the delays) in order to threaten NHL participation?
    • Well that was a disappointing opening ceremony. Not to mention the boss is late too...   Anyway this is another victim of bureaucracy, the initial creative director quit in October and we get this kind of show.   Original plan: https://www.facebook.com/share/v/17EVayTpig/
    • Japan missed their last shot with hammer in the 10th last night against the Philippines for them to stay alive.  USA's remaining 2 games are against Philippines and Netherlands, so they have a tough road ahead, although they've already beaten Japan, so that helps for tiebreaker purposes.
