That's really interesting. Was waiting whether Barbora Janíčková could get the invitation, too. As she does not have OQT neither OCT but she won a silver medal in 100m freestyle at the ECH in June......

Is Seemanova planning on swimming the 100m freestyle? That could play a role in whether or not she gets invited. Also the other athletes that got invited have the A standard in another event and Janickova doesn't

True, read about that, that other also have another standard. Honestly, I think Seemannová take 100,200 FS as her main events. If she decided not to participate in one event I guess it would be either butterfly or medley....

  2. :SUI - Jeremy Desplanches - Men’s 200m IM - 901 points (:POL - Jan Kalusowski - Men's 200m Breastroke - 895 points) (:CAN - Penny Oleksiak - Women's 100m Free - 894 points)

  3. :FIN - Tomas Koski - Men’s 200m Free - 880 points

  5. :HUN - Henrietta Fangli - Women's 100m Breastroke - 873 points

Reading this very late, but I wonder if they are going to invite way more female swimmers with OCT than male so Paris 2024 can have the gender equality they are hoping so much for

So turns out athletes can transition from being entered as relay only to OCT? The discussion over at SwimSwam must have been wrong ... :mumble:

It wasn't, he got in via being invited as one of the highest ranked with an OCT time (Re: the top part of my list Pasolini quoted above).

I don't think either Emma Chelius or David Thomasberger have an OCT. At least according to the qualification page.

    • I have reported this again and they said it should be fixed now, please let me know if you are still facing issues.
    • more countries added to the list of US ban    you can't travel to USA if you are from : burkina faso , niger , Laos , South sudan , mali , sierra leon ...
    • Yes, but what I mean for Serbia is that everything changed there (unfortunately for us ). 2022 was an unbelievable mess, that's not the case anymore now with just one athlete who has really gone for it and made it, so I'm 99% sure they'll accept it this time.   Who knows though. Plus there's always 1-2 bigger countries here or there who reject something, but it's not gonna be 16 places I'm afraid
    • Doping by Event Type When we look at which events have the most doping cases, a few categories stand out from recent sanction records: Long Distance (3,000m and above): 32% of cases Sprints (400m or less): 24% of cases Jumps: 12% of cases Javelin: 8% of cases Middle Distance (800m–1,500m): 8% of cases Hammer: 8% of cases Steeplechase (3,000m SC): 4% of cases
    • From 2020 to 2025    These three countries alone make up almost two-thirds (61.9%) of all current doping violations in athletics worldwide. It’s worth noting that 199 of World Athletics’ 214 member federations have no athletes on the current ban list. This means the problem is really concentrated in a small number of places. Here’s a look at the top countries: Rank Country Total Violations Percentage Region 1 Kenya 119 24.74% Africa 2 India 108 22.45% Asia 3 Russia 73 15.18% Europe 4 China 26 5.40% Asia 5 Turkey 20 4.16% Europe 6 Italy 18 3.74% Europe 7 South Africa 18 3.74% Africa 8 Ukraine 17 3.53% Europe 9 United States 16 3.33% North America 10 Morocco 15 3.12% Africa
