In a normal circumstance, Australia would be capable of winning a medal, but they might not even qualify :yikes:

Their only chance to assure themselves a spot at Paris is at the Universality Olympic Qualifying Tournament 2, but there’s only one quota, and Canada is favoured over them IMO.

Really hoping that one of these countries wins UOQT1 and Ukraine can compete in OQT

Azerbaijan showed up nothing at the group stage and now they ruined Hungarian chances with that performance from Mollenhauer :yikes:

:USA has announced they’ll be holding a training camp this week in Massachusetts to determine their Olympic team.

Participating athletes include Azana Baines, Cameron Brink, Cierra Burdick, Christina Dalce, Blake Dietrick, Allisha Gray, Dearica Hamby, Linnae Harper, Rhyne Howard, Lexie Hull, Kelsey Mitchell, Lucy Olsen, Katie Lou Samuelson, Madison Scott, Hailey Van Lith, Mikaylah Williams and Camille Zimmerman.

Two of the four players have to be ranked within the top 10 of the World Rankings. I’m guessing it’ll be Brink/Van Lith/Samuelson/Howard, let’s see how wrong I am later though lol.

    • By the way. It looks like no AIN`s will be in biathlon by the start of the Olympics. Russians filed an appeal to CAS to get AIN statuses in biathlon. But IBU did not agree to have hearings with short procedure. So the decisons are not expected before the end of qulifying period. (FIS could do the same but its top-officials prefer to help russians be back as quick as possible).   I would like to see Dolidovich at the Games. Because she is a real refugee of the relatively high level.

    • It’s honestly baffling how bad she was in 2018. Just absolutely lost her head. Real shame too because she is so gifted. I do hope Li Jianrou sends her a Christmas card every year tho, she was absolutely gifted a gold medal by Christie in 2014.
