I couldn't stop crying, but for a completely different reason. :p

Completed. Surely most of us expected rhythmic gymnastics to go to the Russians but they won neither.

Heh, I guess I avoided RG and got 5/5. Artistic Swimming always seemed like the sport where the gold is more set in stone until the end of time and I didn't want to have 4 :ROC gold medals as the safest.

Mixed Team Judo was completely avoided as well and most would have gone with Japan there.

I still can’t get over how Japan lost that with the success they had in the individual events.

Not their best day but also we shouldn't forget Shohei Ono didn't get onto the mat to have his fight.

Also some extra motivation for the French to make Riner win another gold after not winning the individual.

    • I find it interesting how these events are all contested separately in the WC, vs the Olympics where the technical+free (e.g.) are together. Especially since here at this WC, I think just 2 teams competed in all 3 disciplines, and not sure about the women's duet.
    • ioc operates under Swiss law is it illegas in ? no so, it's as simple as it looks: no test? no professional sport (at least those sanctioned by ioc) end.   being an Olympian wasn't ordered by the doctor, if you don't like the ioc rules, just don't take part in ioc sanctioned sports/events

    • Surprisingly the BBC gave this a breaking news notification from their Sport app. Unusual for someone who has been semi retired for a couple of years now.
