phelps 2,853 Posted April 7 #3 Share Posted April 7 Italy without Arianna Fontana (who announced she's going to skate until 2026, if she can stay healthy, of course) and Pietro Sighel... not sure what to expect from the remaining skaters on the team... Dennis 252 Posted April 7 #4 Share Posted April 7 Schulting is also out due to COVID. At the previous world championships she won 5 gold medals which she now cannot defend. With Fontana also out , I assume it will be between Choi and Boutin in front of her home crowd on the women’s side? Jinzha

Dennis 252 Posted April 9 #6 Share Posted April 9 In his quarterfinal heat on the men's 500m, Oleg Handei got a standing ovation from the sold-out stadion when his name was announced. And then, against all odds, he finished 2nd in the quarterfinal, finishing right behind Dubois, but in front of a German, Italian and South Korean skater. dcro 9,057 Posted April 9 #7 Share Posted April 9 QFs for Martin Kolenc in the 500 m. That's pretty impressive. Pretty good results all around for us with several Top 30 placings in the final analysis.
