  1. Not only the Nordic federations then, by the sounds of it. FIS people screwing up wouldn't be much of a surprise of course, to be honest
  2. Wait, the 'it's a political boycott' was not a joke? What's the goal of the Big Bad West Scandinavia then other than world domination? Because yes, COVID raises very much valid concerns in terms of preparing for competitions when having to go in mandatory quarantaine for ten days every time you get out of country X or Y.
  3. If Sweden does not participate, you mean? Because otherwise...not so much (for the women, at least)
  4. You store your decorations outside of the house after Christmas? As always I am happy with our tree, not overly decorated because I do want to actually see the tree instead of only decorations, and it looks good
  5. Thanks. Too bad it looks like there's only a small uphill visible from the Egli Hill stands, whereas the largest and most decisive part is on the outer part of the course...especially the large Burgstall climb could be crucial to have some support, but I don't think it'll be possible to walk that way..
  6. Does anyone have a clue on where to find a track map for the World Championships races in Oberstdorf, more specifically the women's 5k freestyle qualifying? I do see the ticket map here, but annoyingly there are literally only seats available somewhere halfway on the track: https://www.ticketmaster.de/event/fis-nordic-world-ski-championships-2021-cross-country-2402-tickets/405119 And I'm not really sure what one can see from there. I mean, if it's close enough to yell some support and commands on an uphill or something, that's fine, but I'm a little afraid it's only next to the downhill where support won't do much. From what I can see on a video from last season's World Cup sprint there, this could possibly be an area where there's an uphill as well, but I'm not sure.
  7. Sergio Perez wins the Sakhir Grand Prix and with that, Formula 1 has a new race winner Someone, preferably Marko, give the dude a seat for 2021 man, come on. Screw Stroll and his dad.
  8. Lunder and Skottheim have been going together since the start and moved up from 19th and 20th to 6th and 7th already!
  9. In today's qualifying: Huber, Lackner, Fettner and Hörl have all tested positive, just like the coach and - unrelated to this 'cluster' - race director Sandro Pertile.
  10. The only one of the Belgians who hasn't really proven himself World Cup-worthy yet though
  11. The French coach wanting to give JTB a new pole (only to not do it because the Norwegian coach was just in time) is an excellent example of sportsmanship in sports like this.
  12. If I'm not mistaken, Switzerland's best ever men relay result is a 5th place, which they last got in 2012/13.
  13. Sima providing Slovakia with some false hope, Stalder with first showings of his potential on the main stage, curious what Hartweg can do later.
  14. To be fair, deserved win for Loch despite these shitty conditions, staying as close as he did in run one was impressive.
  15. Nope, so besides Abdi Nageeye now also Bart van Nunen and the miracle that is Frank Futselaar qualified Björn Koreman might still try if there's a chance to have an official race somewhere, he would try this weekend in Poland but that got cancelled. Then there's Khalid Choukhoud who might try it as well, but that's about it - which is a lot more than what I expected, I hadn't really expected more than Nageeye Futselaar doing what Michel Butter in the end never could. Futselaar ran exactly the limit, Butter missed it by eight seconds in Amsterdam in 2015 in one of the more heartbreaking moments in Dutch athletics (watch from roughly 1:54 for his last few 200 meters or so)
  16. That Valencia half marathon was a bit of an epic show, Kamworor's WR was 58.01 and today the entire top-4 went under 58 minutes Also says something about the strength of Kamworor's WR and about the shoe technology improvements
  17. @hckosice What happend to Matej Toth yesterday?
  18. Curious to see how fast the track will deteriorate in run two. Of course the later sliders just had no chance at all anymore, but Loch could move up a whole lot of places. Also David Gleirscher at 0,304 seconds and Fedorov at 0,262 seconds are still in it, although if it's like this run they'll face just as useless of a track as Repilov himself so they might not be able to make that up.
  19. Tim's response: "That's very true. I'm not going to spread the gossip myself, but certainly a lot of people know what you're referring to." Next stop after Altenberg: Bone Town
