  1. Including reigning champion Greg van Avermaet, who has done his work for team captain Van Aert and 'reserve captain' Evenepoel.
  2. Really good to see they keep the weight of the attempt on-screen all the time.
  3. I meant her actual right arm, maybe he meant the left arm from the point of view of the TV viewer?
  4. 9th and 14th in the men's 10m air pistol qualification, so close Still, great job.
  5. Slight press-out on the right arm.
  6. And that's easy gold 1 for China
  7. IWF's scoreboard already died IOC's one is actually not horrible, surprisingly.
  8. Finally, showing the gap again..
  9. https://www.iwf.net/scoreboard/graphics/get_scoreboard_IWF.html It has next attempts now
  10. At least the Eurosport stream has commentary Ok, the sound quality is truly awful and I wonder if they'll do more than just drum up the usual fact sheet things, but who knows.
  11. The starting weights are here, but we know how shitty the official website usually is for live scoring...no way they update the next attempts as quickly as IWF usually does.. https://olympics.com/tokyo-2020/olympic-games/en/results/weightlifting/result-women-s-49kg-fnl-a00100-.htm
  12. Yep. Without the entry weight, or even the next weight, or anything like that.
  13. About to get underway! This should be the scoreboard? https://www.iwf.net/scoreboard/graphics/get_scoreboard_IWF.html The normal one is stuck on the junior worlds, this one doesn't seem to even have the next weight for the athletes (yet)....hopefully something will happen soon there.
  14. Great, having thin metal 'gutters' in the middle of the road along the direction of travel.
  15. Which might make it both interesting and dangerous, especially on the downhills where the roads are flowing very differently We saw in Rio how that turned out, so definitely interesting.
  16. What happened to the IWF website compared to only a few days ago? Can't even find the results for specific athletes anymore, where is the athlete search?
  17. I can hardly believe how strong the Dutch team is looking so far Now we've got to hope Florijn's positive test won't work it's way through the rest of the team...
  18. Belgium kind of getting robbed against the Netherlands, because the VAR couldn't decide whether or not the ref had blown his whistle and so whether or not a goal should be awarded. It definitely was a goal, the whistle thing just made it not a goal..
  19. To save it for what, exactly? They will absolutely be dropped, much as I'd hope they won't, they just don't have the quality to stick with the field on the bigger climbs when the 'war' starts, no chance. They have quite literally one chance to show themselves in any way and that is by attacking early. If they don't do so, this is how their race is very likely to go: staying invisibly somewhere in the peloton for 100-150 kilometers, then being dropped and either finish way behind or (likely) DNF, without anyone having ever seen them. Which would suck for them and for fans, I definitely want to actually see these riders!
  20. Belgium starting to chase, that's a little early.
  21. At least Grosu did something
  22. Meanwhile: ah, the Olympics. No time differences shown (hopefully that'll change), that would only make the screen look ugly !
  23. The main example of Burkina Faso also slowly growing in road cycling, like several African nations. Too bad he's not competing for his birth nation of CAR, although understandably (no doubt BUR has a better infrastructure).
  24. Correct remark by Kroon: "Getting in the lead group is really not hard in a race like this, if you're from a smaller country and you're not normally riding on a high level, there is absolutely no reason to not be in the attack. What else are you going to do this race, other than being dropped when the climbs appear? This might be the one time in your life to show yourself."
