  1. Kazakh media is reporting Sedov tested positive in the 2008 retests. Besides, I doubt they'd select him anyway after his protest against Ilyin at Kazakh nationals
  2. The best mountain in the Tour de France is gone tomorrow Chalet Reynard is not that safe from the wind by the way, depending on the wind direction of course. If it comes from out of the open (from the red arrow), I guess it will be very stormy at the new finish line:
  3. That thing after 45 seconds? That's not an attack from Froome, just spending his last energy to gain some more seconds and be ahead of Bodnar Anyway, great win from Sagan of course, now let's see tomorrow to see if Froome didn't go to far today
  4. Probably because he's Mexican and reading Mexican websites/statements?
  5. Same thing for Froome by the way. Taking seconds off of your GC rivals in a flat stage in this way is praiseworthy. And the finish was 100% as expected once the break away was gone: Sagan working to get the advantage up so Froome could gain time, and in return Froome didn't attack Sagan in the end (even though he probably wouldn't win that anyway, but still)
  6. What a stage, a break away in the last kilometers with 4 riders including Froome and Sagan Sagan should ride his ass off for Froome if you ask me and Froome should then of course not attack him in the last meters.
  7. Tested positive for stanozolol after a competition on 9 June this year, confirmed by the Hungarian federation.
  8. How come Jamaica has selected 4 athletes in certain sprint events without naming one of them as reserve or relay-only or something?
  9. That would be an awesome world championships
  10. That'd be awesome A little less realistic in terms of gold, but awesome nonetheless
  11. Apti Aukhadov on Facebook: "Rio 2016...I'm coming!" Weird, because he was positive in the 2012 retests. Maybe something with the B-sample?
  12. Do I hear some cheering for Meilutyte and Atkinson coming up?
  13. It would be completely idiotic anyway to let Contador be the leader in a one day race in which Valverde is in the team as well
  14. Start list for the 800m at the DL in Monaco Friday: First time since the new rules that Niyonsaba, Wambui and Semenya will be in the same race (first time ever as well, I think), so that should provide fans with fireworks The rest of the events don't seem to have very special entries yet.
  15. Then we see the same thing we see in 90% of the flat stages Waiting and waiting until the last 10km when the sprint trains are formed. Just like now only the last 10km or so where (very) interesting because of this mix of cyclists wondering what the best option is.
  16. Seriously, what's the problem? I mean apart from Sagan being the best sprinter in the group and so everyone logically trying to conserve energy because they know Sagan will keep working on the front anyway. It's not like it's the first time he could have won, but didn't People attack --> Sagan will jump on their asses immediatly People don't attack --> Sagan will beat them in the sprint If you're a neutral viewer, these last 10-15km were really cool actually
  17. Netherlands Women: Inge Dekker (50 m free, 100 m fly, 4x100 m free ) Femke Heemskerk (100 m free, 200 m free, 4x100 m free , 4x200 m ) Andrea Kneppers* (4x 200 m ) Ranomi Kromowidjojo (50 m free, 100 m free, 4x 100 m free ) Maud van der Meer* (4x100 m free ) Robin Neumann* (200 m free, 4x200 m ) Sharon van Rouwendaal (400 m free, 800 m free, 10 km open water) Marrit Steenbergen* (200 m IM, 4x100 m free , 4x200 m ) Kira Toussaint* (100 m back) Esmee Vermeulen* (4x200 m ) Heren: Maarten Brzoskowski* (400 m free, 4x200 m ) Dion Dreesens (200 m free, 4x200 m ) Ben Schwietert* (4x200 m ) Kyle Stolk* (4x200 m ) Joeri Verlinden (100 m fly) Sebastiaan Verschuren (100 m free, 200 m free, 4x200 m ) Ferry Weertman* (10 km open water) * = First Olympics
  18. Matthews, smart job from Orica
  19. Van Avermaet seems to be the smartest so far, I hope he wins
  20. Not pathetic, but trying to win. I think being afraid to touch someone in order not to get sick is a bit different than not attacking because if you do, you get Sagan on your ass within 2 seconds
  21. Sagan doesn't want to win the stage?
  22. African should be with a capital letter and marathon shouldn't but of course that's not my main comment about it: shouldn't it be better to formulate things in such a way that there is no doubt possible? Because now one can read it as "The only nation(s) that will win at least one medal in both marathon events will be from Africa." or as "All six marathon medals will be won by African nations."
