  1. Yeah I read that you said "it would mean 7 points for Norway", but that was my mistake And damn it Miedema, this was THE chance to get the Olympic ticket...
  2. One loss and two wins means 7 points in Danish mathematics?
  3. If Norway makes 2-1 and SWE-NED remains at 1-1, aren't Norway qualified?
  4. 20 minutes to go, Netherlands and Norway both 1 goal away from Rio virtually speaking...
  5. Well RUSADA apparently notified athletes as well...that didn't help much
  6. Not that shocking I think But still sad indeed...I hope he gets a great result in his farewell race.
  7. I still think Kulizhnikov is definitely not only good because of doping, he really does have a great technique. But yeah, clearly his technique isn't the only thing
  8. And he already has had jail sentence for cocaine smuggle
  9. The thing I miss about the old one was that you saw 30 threads with "latest replies", but it was extremely annoying that every day at some point some threads just disappeared from there and I'd still miss them (I still never understood the reason). That doesn't happen here, but something like you have on most forums ("My active threads/topic") would be useful, getting a list of the threads in which you posted. Also it's sometimes a little annoying that new posts are not marked as new posts, so when there are like 20-30 new posts in a thread, you don't know exactly where the first unread post is.
  10. Yep, like Mutko himself said: "There is massive use of this in Russia, we'll see more cases."
  11. If there is one thing I am absolutely sure of, it is that me and a million of Dutch (and probably international) speed skating fans have said Kulizhnikov is not to be trusted since the very beginning of his domination I think you remember it a little wrong. I definitely talked about him breaking 34 because it was a historic moment in speed skating and it was clear that the chance was very big he would do it. I don't know how I put it, but I could have said something about mixed feelings: 1. I wish Wotherspoon would still have the record but 2. seeing the 34s being broken live was a historic moment. But what I can absolutely guarantee is that I have had the same opinion as almost everyone about Kulizhnikov since his return and sudden domination: don't trust it. And yes, I am sure I have also said something about his technique, because doping or no doping, I still think he has a beautiful technique (calm, but incredibly strong).
  12. Definitely a tough call. It's a little annoying now to see Dutch former world champion Erben Wennemars act all surprised about Kulizhnikov...in the past 2 seasons he was always talking about "the past is the past and now he is just great because his technique is fantastic" Noone is doubting his fantastic technique, but come on, everyone who is following speed skating is already saying for 2 years they don't trust him (I've always said that and so has basically everyone else I discuss with online)
  13. So in these past days we've had: - Ethiopian marathon runner - Swedish/Ethiopian middle distance runner - Two Ukrainian biathletes - Russian cyclist - Russian short track speed skater - Russian long track speed skater - Russian volleyball player - Russian tennis player - Russian figure skater That's a pretty diverse list of sports...
  14. It's connected with enhancing performance. I really don't think all of a sudden a ton of major athletes turn out to have had heart problems.
  15. And it was even announced quite clearly on RUSADA's site + in WADA letters/emails etc... I would not be surprised to see Yuskov and Murashov's names tomorrow, or Yesin. My women's guess would be Voronina.
  16. Well there we go, as everyone already knew: Kulizhnikov is still dirty http://www.sports.ru/others/skating/1037874457.html
  17. Out of curiousity, how are Russians in general looking towards Kulizhnikov? (not because of today's news, but in general in the past 2 seasons) People on Dutch sports forums didn't believe in him for a single second (2 year ban, return and suddenly dominate like never before), although ex-speed skater Erben Wennemars always goes on and on about Kulizhnikov's fantastic technique.
  18. That was before FIVB stepped in with financial help: http://allafrica.com/stories/201603030284.html
  19. No points for predicting a meldonium announcement later this week
  20. I'm a statistics fan as well Therefore I really don't see any argument of why to do it different than posting results in spoilers. If you do that, people who love results are happy because there are results and people who find too many results annoying are happy because spoilers don't take too much space --> Perfect compromise I guess. I was just saying there is a search function now and how that's useful. On the old forum with some bad luck you had to go to literally dozens of pages in certain sports threads to find a result you were looking for. Now you go to "Search", type the name of an athlete or something and done.
