  1. A Belgian woman, cool! Chile must be Claudia Salcedo (who was rather slow in Obertilliach last season) who apparently found a guy to compete with. I believe 10-12 years ago Chile had several athletes competing in Europa/IBU Cups, but it's been a while since I saw Chilean guys there. I know they have two 16/17-year old girls who are trying out biathlon, but I doubt they'll already be in the IBU Cup As for Spain, I guess it's Henar Etxebarria with a woman I don't know yet, since Vicky Padial is at the World Cup. Yet another interesting development! Do you happen to know how to search for athletes from a specific country on IBU's new website? I want to search for all Belgian biathletes, but I can only enter family and given names..
  2. I don't seem to remember them being members, but it's hard to know for sure since IBU has messed up their website..
  3. Can't link to that, I understand, but thanks for the cool info
  4. Could you add a link or something? I'm always interested in exotic nations but when it's about biathlon, even more so
  5. Where on earth do you find stuff like this
  6. Small update from the Brazilian team, who are present in Martell at the IBU Development Camp with 4 athletes (the two known girls, plus Caio Moreira and Lucas Martins). I've only seen the detailed shooting results for Bruna (Moura), but after almost a week she still only missed like 2-3 shots in prone position all week Standing is not going that well yet, but it's awesome to see that she is trying to shoot a lot faster than she did last season and still hits almost every prone shot...I can't wait for the IBU Cups in January
  7. Well to be fair, windy or not, if before the races they clearly say "the worst ranked athlete has to give up her spot to Kuzmina", it would be weird to change that afterwards because of the circumstances..then they should have said (before) "the slowest athlete has to give up her spot"..
  8. I would say two years without winning something (with only 1 actually big tournament in that time) isn't a reason to panic yet, there's a lot of talent as well The next target is 2018 World Cup, there's plenty of time to get it going with preparation tournaments like the World League
  9. What are your medal expectations for Team Serbia?
  10. Darya Domracheva is apparently planning to make her comeback at the World Cup in Oberhof, the first one in January.
  11. Field hockey and indoor hockey and ice hockey and roller hockey and floorball
  12. Of course they won, who else would take the title? When North Korea plays, everything else is just a fight for 2nd place.
  13. 1500m victory for Miho Takagi...this 22-year old Japanese girl is the absolute sensation of this season, medalling on 1000, 1500 and 3000 If she can keep this up she might be the favourite for the world allround title
  14. There's definitely a problem with immigration, there's just no denying that, but every time a far right candidate loses, it's basically good news.
  15. Shiffrin in 13th so far at the DH in Lake Louise
  16. Dukurs misses the podium for the first time since December 2013, after 21 consecutive podium finishes (he was 8th in Lake Placid then, after another 14 consecutive podium finishes)
  17. Aileen de Graaf and Trina Gulliver "battling" it out in a game of "darts" at the Winmau World Masters...with a 3-dart average of less than 65 Seriously, I get why the PDC isn't interested in women's darts...this level is just horrific. It's not worth watching leg after leg after leg being finished in 20-24 or even more darts.
  18. Totallympics is back alive, I was worried
  19. First he'll have to show it wasn't a fluke or something, Michel Mulder, Ronald Mulder, Kai Verbij and Jan Smeekens usually are a level higher when they're in top shape
  20. And semi- Wow, I did not see that coming
  21. Such a shame that Magnusson had some sort of failure with her last shot and then missed it, but what a result
  22. And 34.52 for Daidai Ntab, what the..
  23. Empty, but fast 34.62 for Artur Was, 34.57 for Ruslan Murashov and that's only the first two pairs..
  24. Vishnevskaya is having an impressive day
