  1. Belarussian weightlifter Andrei Rybakov (double world champion, double Olympic silver medalist, double world record holder) is next, surprise surprise, it's meldonium. http://www.iwf.net/2016/04/01/public-disclosure-66/ Slovak wrestler Istvan Levai as well, bronze at the 2015 European Games and gold at 2012 European championships: http://sport.pravda.sk/ostatne-sporty/clanok/388356-aj-najlepsi-slovensky-zapasnik-bral-meldonium-levai-do-ria-asi-nepojde/

  3. As long as he qualifies for the 50 free, which is his event, I see no problem
  4. I'm planning on writing a special on this topic for a Dutch website, on which I will most definitely mention this Totallympics thread (who knows, maybe it gives Totallympics one or two extra Dutch users)
  5. By the way, is it easy to add something like Skrill or PayPal? I think especially the last one is well-known worldwide and trusted
  6. Am I know the first ever Totallympics Premium Member?
  7. Thanks! It's always interesting to read more about the insights of this
  8. Moradi got suspended for doping, then came back and lifted 20kg more than the world champion? Yeah, you're right about me not liking him I remember Salimi's injury, that looked horribly painful to watch... Are there some Iranian weightlifters (of a decent level of course) who are actually "down to earth" guys instead of "divas" like Salimi?
  9. Ah right, I remember you writing about the athletes getting way too much freedom. If I'm remembering correctly, Salimi was among those who preferred to stay up at night playing PlayStation?
  10. Who was the previous coach? How are the relationships/workings in Iranian weightlifting? For example, in Dutch speed skating there's commercial teams (like in cycling) who of course all have their own coaches, and a "national coach" who mostly doesn't have a lot of real power because the athletes train with their commercial teams. I seem to remember there are different camps who are strongly opposed to each other in Iranian weightlifting?
  11. How does the Guam doctor qualify? Some tripartite thing or something? I mean, Guam isn't in the top-24 nations.. Or is it because AUS and NZL are in the top-24 nations so the continental championships quota for two nations will move from AUS/NZL to Guam?
  12. There are 5 world ranked top-3 athletes who won't even go to the Olympics, including two world leaders?
  13. Disappointing day for the Dutch by the way. Van Gendt, Van Gorkom and Kimmann were all in the same semi-final and Van Gorkom and Kimmann finished 7th and 8th
  14. To my huge surprise, the "new" Dutch paid sports channel also shows the Supercross World Cup live Unfortunately I found out minutes after the one in Argentina finished, but in a couple weeks I can watch the one in Manchester then (and of course I can visit the Supercross in Papendal live if the weather isn't too rainy )
  15. Horrible day and a horrible week for Belgian cycling, with Daan Myngheer (22) being in a coma after a heart attack during the Criterium International.
  16. José Been (press officer of Wanty-Groupe Gobert) on Dutch radio 1 minute ago: "No, he has not died. These reports are premature."
  17. Still doesn't take away the fact that there is a ridiculous amount of motorcycles and cars around today's races..
  18. Apart from the official team account, I would only really trust this one: https://twitter.com/TourDeJose/with_replies She's their press officer and is of course well informed in this case.
  19. CBDN released the criteria and qualifying standards for Brazilian cross-country skiers for the 2017 World Championships: http://www2.cbdn.org.br/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/WSC2017-CC-Criterios-final_v2.pdf
  20. Belgian media announced his death a while ago, but that was just based on the other cyclist (David Boucher). After that, his team wrote a tweet saying he is in "serious condition".
  21. To be fair, it looks like it's not the fault of the motor rider. Eye witnesses apparently said Demoitié fell and then got hit by a motorbike who couldn't avoid him anymore.
  22. Nothing is normal today. Another crash with a motorbike! Antoine Demoitié (BEL) of Wanty-Groupe Gobert is today's victim in Gent-Wevelgem and according to his team he is in "extremely serious" condition in the intensive care unit. Another Belgian cyclist has even already said "RIP Antoine" on Twitter, suggesting he has died...so far his team hasn't confirmed that..
  23. Unbelievable. They played horribly in the first quarter or so (I mean, they were just as good as Spain, but they missed every single chance whereas Spain scored every single chance) and that was just too much to make up for Even when they dominated Q3 and it seemed like they were coming back, Spain did well to use a 2-woman-advantage to get their lead back. Unfortunately Spain apparently didn't make a lot of fouls, at least not so many fouls as our girls made.
