Some good news from European Gymnastics. This continental body decided not to reinstate russian and belorussian athletes. So they will miss European Championships next year where the last quotas will be contented.

She has not enough games at Billie-Jean Cup. But Ukrainian federation announced today that she is going to play against Roamnia next year. So it looks like she will get the quota herself.

Svitolina said recently in the interview, that she talked about this legacy quoat and was told she would get it if needed. But she is going to play one more tounament for the national team next year before the Games. So she hopes she will need that legacy quota.

So many sports successfully use them. I do not see any fair reason to avoid of this in football.

So I will not be surprised with this medal outcomes: - 2 medals in Diving. 10m (Men). Single and Synchro. Our girls missed a lot due to injuries. - 3 in Swimming. Romanchuk (800m + 1500m) changed approach after a bad season, Zheltyakov is a gteat talant n backstoke. - 2 in Artistic Swimming. Hard to predict under the new rules. But the chances are real. - 4 in Canoe. K4 - men (the best in recent years); C1 (W) and C2(W) - Luzan`s partner is going to be back after pause, wildwater for Us (we are traditionally doing well in new sports or disciplines - 6 of 19 medals in Tokio, for example). - 4 in Artistic Gymnastics. All for men - AA, PV, PB + HB/PV/TE. - 4 in Wrestling. 2 in WW (Koliadenko, Hrushina) and 2 in GR (Belenyuk and young talanted Vyshnevetsky). - 2 in Shooting. Kostevych and Korostyliov in some combination. - 4 in Athletics. 2 in women HJ, Kohan in HT and Bekh in Triple Jump. - 3 in Judo. Bilodid, Lytvynenko and Yadov at least. - 2 in Fencing. Kharlan and Company in sabre. - 1 in Boxing. Khyznyak wants to fix his Tokyo fail. - 1 in Weightlifting. Great chance for Konotop, but only if we allowed to compete in weightlifting, of course. - 1 in Breaking - one more new discipline and a chance for our girls. - 1 in Football. Of course the draw will be very important. It does not mean other athletes do not have chances (there are some young talants like Felfner, some injured like Khammo) but their medals would be some king of surprise. So 34 in total. But we have to divide it by 2 to take into account different circumstances. So 17 medals - is a realistic result for us. 20 will be a very good one. And I do not expect a lof of gold. It is not so easy to prepare under the russian bombs. So every medal would cost twice.

Decision on rus and blr teams participation in 2026 Olympic hockey tournament is expected by March 2024.

I am very surprised they allowed russians to come. Hope, Albania will send them back from the airport. It is absolutely clear: UWW is ignoring facts of war-support by russians. So they do not do their job according to the IOC recommendations. The consequences were obvious: if sport authorities do not want to do their job it will be done by governments. And the IOC has to blame itself only for all the "govermnent interventions in sports". They could stop UWW from doing that cynical steps to allow participation of Sadulaev and company. But the IOC was quiet.

I am adraid - no ( Our federaion tried to get different starters in RR and TT at the previous edition of Olympics but was not allowed to do this.

We still have questions about rus. Since russian NOC (ROC) is officially suspended and cannot perform its functions as the NOC according to the IOC statement ROC cannot accept quoats.

Incredible game for Ukraine. We had a comfortable lead in the second set and it could have ended 3:0 in favour of our team. But Darlan was the men who made it bottom up. Superb game from Brazilian star.

So, as far as I understand, for example Illia Kovtun will be able to get his own quotas under the Criteria 4 (All around)? And that makes 2 quotas in total for Ukraine: 1 under the criteria 3 and 1 under the criteria 4.

Are you sure? It looks like these 3 quotas are given to NOC in general and not by name.

I wrote several weeks ago that Poland will be a real candidate to host Olympic games ) Hope this will come true but will not cost too much.

The international reaction was totally awful in 1974. Politicians are able to find different ways if they do not want to react properly. In that case they used the fact that the territories were not annexed but a puppet-state was established. We had just the same situation at Donbas in 2014. Two puppet states were established and no proper reaction from the UN and e.t.c. In 2014 Russians quickly annexed the Crimea, but it passed through a puppet-state stage too. And a so-called "referendum" to calm down the UN and e t.c. But in 2022 Russia (the UN Security Council permanent member) started the war as a a full-scale unprovoked invasion to annex internationally recognized territories of the independent state. They did not leave a chance for diplomats to say: "oр, we are so disturbed - so we will sanction... these newly created puppet-states" (like "DNR", "LNR"). The territories were annexed so they had only two options: keep it quiet or sanction russia. And I think the International Community used the second option mostly because Ukraine forced russians to fail even with that initial international help. I feel strongly that the defeat of russia will have global consequences. And it will help not only to change the IOC but also to restore justice for another states. Because a lot of local dictatorships use global geopolitics to avoid of proper consequences for their own crimes. By the way, is "Northern Cyprus" still strictly isolated in sport?

So it looks like a matter of quality of the team. Their coach expected much more by the way and was very surprised. It will be better to get compensation for them )
