    And last year UWW immediately moved tournament from Poland when russians were not able to compete there - "defending the rights of athletes". Now we see that they defend athletes from certain states only.

    Yes, ITF uses argument, that they qualify individually. But ICF cannot use this argument.

    I am afraid the IOC will really do this. But it is not a question of "team" it is a question of AINs - Individual Neutral Athletes. The IOC declared that AINs will participate in Paris. They do not represent their country or NOC, they are individuals, so there is no any legal ground for them to compete in pairs or doubles.

    The seeding has the same procedure for both days. So the place at the first days does not effects the seeding for the second day. Important note: DQ and DNF at the first day allows to start at the day 2. DNS at the 1st day does not allow to start at the day 2

    We have similar situation trying to qualify both 4x400 W and X. Bur the approach is different. Our best runners are divided between the squads and are not expected to start both disciplines. Will see what work better )) May be both ways will give the same result

    The only real question - if this athletes do not represent their state, NOC and national federation but themselves onlt: what ground can be legally used to compose those pairs or doubles?

    @Illya @Art Art На що чекаємо цього тижня? Естафетний відбір на Багамах - судячи з усього, ми розраховуємо на обидів естафети 4 по 400 - жіночу і змішану. В неділю старт у лучників. Плюс рейтингові турніри у стрільбі та дзюдо. Маємо ще щось у олімпійськомі відборі?

    I have a question ) What is the status of the tournament "Swim Wars" which took place on the 27-28th of April in Banja Luka? Russians sent there almost all their stars won almost all gold without neutral status because it was c club tournament (and it looks like it was paid by russians too). Will their times at this tournament taken into account as Olympic qualification?

    Our media are not so sure. They say that and will have higher rankings than other 2 teams. So cannot face them in the group. Still do not know if they are right that the IOC is taking into account not only the latest Olympic tournament for the rankings.

    I would say it was cool, but we still have some reserve beacuse of 2 awful performances at VT and not so good PB as they can.

    Так, там зносило все, що можна. У фехтуванні наші чудово вчора пройшли пулі, але далі все закінчилося занадто швидко. Хоча Полозюк і вела 11:8. Гадаю, що наша жіноча рапіра може вистрілити в наступному циклі. Мають поборотися за командну квоту новим поколінням. Подивимося сьогодні на Рейзліна ще. І Пермикіна вчора 4-а - має сильно піднятися в рейтингу олімпійського відбору у п'ятиборстві. Може, відбереться за рейтингом.

    Ідеальний результат тут. Мені цікаво: наші спеціально не брали квоти на ЧС, щоб на Єволрейському відборі мати змогу забрати 2?

    And the sory goes on. Yevgenia Medvedeva told that grandfather of Valieva (that man who baked cookies with trimetazidine for her) died soon after the Olympics. She told this to Yagudin answering his question: "Where is that grandfather?" But later she said that she was wrong because of nervs and not enough sleeping: that was not grandfather but grandmother, and she died several years ago. It is circus...

    And pentathlon uncertain Olympic future makes it very weak to stand the IOC pressure.

    Our media reported that Japan and Iraq are ranked 1st and 2nd according to their previous performances. So Ukraine will face Indonesia or Uzbekistan. Do not know if that is correct.
