  1. No need to mention Sagan and time limit in the same sentence. Plenty of riders will fall before him.
  2. Some new music that I'm looking forward to hearing during the next week (+some) And some more well known playing on Roskilde as well
  3. Leaving for one of Europe's largest music festivals tomorrow (Roskilde). For a week it's the 5th largest city in Denmark, full of people partying. It's warm-up saturday to tuesday and then the main music programme starts wednesday. Pray for me!
  4. Thanks to Romania and France for making that offside yesterday slightly easier to get over!
  5. Wait... Is he an Olympic champion? Never heard that before!
  6. Yeah. It's mentioned from time to time. Back in 2006 the proces was actually started with an analyzis, but it was killed off again. Later a candidate for mayor of Copenhagen talked about it and the current mayor talked about hosting one or a few sports in case of Hamburg hosting the games (when they were in the game). Some politician even talked about hosting some of the indoor sports in a Swedish Winter-bid But it's very unlikely that we'll be ready to spend the money. A tiny chance would be Copenhagen and Malmö hosting together. The IOC mentions it more or less everytime we host some major event. But it seems unlikely, no matter what (and honestly, I would be against it as well, unless some major company (or more) would be ready to spend huge amounts on it)
  7. As half Swedish, I have no words for how much I would have loved to go to Stockholm and Åre for the Winter Games. But Italy was the safer choice and considering the last couple of winter Games and the upcoming ones, the safe choice might very well be the right one. I will keep dreaming of seing the Olympics in Sweden or at least in a Nordic country in my lifetime (Can't really say that I remember Lillehammer (I was 2½ years)). I doubt 2030 will be right, but maybe 2034?
  8. It is being ruled out by the chief of the Swedish bid that IOC will be going for the double, but we'll see for tomorrow.
  9. I almost hope for a draw tomorrow. Would feel bad if that questionable offside is what keeps us from advancing (not that we didn't have plenty of chances to score a third goal)
  10. The theory of a 2026-2030 double has been mentioned by media. I doubt it considering the potential bids for 2030, but who knows? It would mean more time without new bidding.
  11. Simon Hansen jumping for the win must be the highlight of these games
  12. Well done by Danish TV going to gymnastics before the hunt!
  13. Medals in the individual events.
  14. I don't disagree that FIFA and the clubs are ruining the Olympic football (well, men's) and there's no doubt that I barely watch any other football than the matches before the Opening, but for me the symbol that we have a team there is something I care about (maybe that's mainly before we're not really able to in other team sports than handball and football). Also I'm not quite sure that I agree. Several Danish players showed interest for the Olympics, but weren't allowed by their teams. Maybe that's the culture here in Denmark unlike others. Even in some secondary tournament where many profiles aren't given permission to play, it's huge to represent the national team and for me it's fantastic to be represented. Don't get me wrong. I would love to see the men's Olympic football either changed or removed, but as long as it's there, I'll be hoping for a Danish (and/or Swedish) team
  15. Because participating in the Olympics means participating in the Olympics!
  16. A few mistakes were close to being costly again, but a 3-1 victory is a fine result meaning that we're absolutely still in the game!
  17. Well. Some stupid mistakes gave this away (though Germany was without doubt the better team) and only Skov was really dangerous. Eliminating the mistakes is without doubt a big step, but they really need to step it up if we are to have any chance!
  18. Fingers crossed. Have a few friends doing the half marathon tomorrow here in Aarhus as well (could very well be my target for next year). Haven't been running much myself the last month due to campaigning, but started again thursday (with a surprising 5km PB) and 6km today. I have a plan ready and believe that I'll be ready for the 12km in 2½ months if I follow it.
