  1. We do, considering the number of Danes at the Worlds and Olympics. And Fuglsang's ranking has gotten som attention as well.
  2. I'm beginning to wonder. Will we ever see @hckosice in the cycling comments again the day that Sagan retires?
  3. I don't really get why Wurtz or Gallopin didn't get it...
  4. I can do with czech lager, but I prefer something stronger and nothing beats a good triple! Not yet, though that would put me closer than any sport
  5. Trappiste beers > Belgian beers >>>>>>>>>> All others. You're welcome
  6. Though I do see myself as a traditionalist, I do really feel rather sad reading some of the comments here. It feels elitist (can't believe I'm actually using the word that I'm usually fighting against) I do agree that the IOC are making some bad decisions. Breaking is terrible and I would prefer not having surfing or skating (at least not yetconsidering the governing situation). But destroying the sport? In the very worst case it could be the start, but really? There are still plenty of sports for us to watch. I'm not gonna watch a second of surfing and the only skating will be Rune Glifbjerg's runs (if he qualifies) and it will be the same with breaking in 2024. And yes, those quotas could have been filled by other sports or events, and I would absolutely have prefered that. But come on. Show at least a little bit of respect. It's not like these sports come from nowhere. Somebody wants them in the Games, and that's not just people in the IOC. Some have been fighting for it for some time. And BTW, I see plenty of skaters. It's not even that long since I could see some on the main pedestrian street in Aarhus having some fun, just as I know of a few fine places for skating in Denmark. And gender equality. That's the way things are going and the IOC shouldn't really be blamed for several federations sleeping. Once again, I would prefer another approach than what taken by the IOC, but I support the idea. Quota limits and saving money? Seriously, have you seen how bids die one by one? I would love to see the Olympics with way more events, but that would NOT be reasonable!
  7. First phase of ticket application finishing tomorrow. Who'll be trying to get some? I've applied for all 4 matches in Copenhagen
  8. Well. He beat 5 of our guys today But not much of a surprise. The short mountain stages could be a problem though.
  9. Sure. But half the Danes would be gone before him (at least with Cort's broken finger)
  10. No need to mention Sagan and time limit in the same sentence. Plenty of riders will fall before him.
  11. Some new music that I'm looking forward to hearing during the next week (+some) And some more well known playing on Roskilde as well
  12. Leaving for one of Europe's largest music festivals tomorrow (Roskilde). For a week it's the 5th largest city in Denmark, full of people partying. It's warm-up saturday to tuesday and then the main music programme starts wednesday. Pray for me!
  13. Thanks to Romania and France for making that offside yesterday slightly easier to get over!
  14. Wait... Is he an Olympic champion? Never heard that before!
  15. Yeah. It's mentioned from time to time. Back in 2006 the proces was actually started with an analyzis, but it was killed off again. Later a candidate for mayor of Copenhagen talked about it and the current mayor talked about hosting one or a few sports in case of Hamburg hosting the games (when they were in the game). Some politician even talked about hosting some of the indoor sports in a Swedish Winter-bid But it's very unlikely that we'll be ready to spend the money. A tiny chance would be Copenhagen and Malmö hosting together. The IOC mentions it more or less everytime we host some major event. But it seems unlikely, no matter what (and honestly, I would be against it as well, unless some major company (or more) would be ready to spend huge amounts on it)
  16. As half Swedish, I have no words for how much I would have loved to go to Stockholm and Åre for the Winter Games. But Italy was the safer choice and considering the last couple of winter Games and the upcoming ones, the safe choice might very well be the right one. I will keep dreaming of seing the Olympics in Sweden or at least in a Nordic country in my lifetime (Can't really say that I remember Lillehammer (I was 2½ years)). I doubt 2030 will be right, but maybe 2034?
  17. It is being ruled out by the chief of the Swedish bid that IOC will be going for the double, but we'll see for tomorrow.
  18. I almost hope for a draw tomorrow. Would feel bad if that questionable offside is what keeps us from advancing (not that we didn't have plenty of chances to score a third goal)
