  1. The theory of a 2026-2030 double has been mentioned by media. I doubt it considering the potential bids for 2030, but who knows? It would mean more time without new bidding.
  2. Simon Hansen jumping for the win must be the highlight of these games
  3. Well done by Danish TV going to gymnastics before the hunt!
  4. Medals in the individual events.
  5. I don't disagree that FIFA and the clubs are ruining the Olympic football (well, men's) and there's no doubt that I barely watch any other football than the matches before the Opening, but for me the symbol that we have a team there is something I care about (maybe that's mainly before we're not really able to in other team sports than handball and football). Also I'm not quite sure that I agree. Several Danish players showed interest for the Olympics, but weren't allowed by their teams. Maybe that's the culture here in Denmark unlike others. Even in some secondary tournament where many profiles aren't given permission to play, it's huge to represent the national team and for me it's fantastic to be represented. Don't get me wrong. I would love to see the men's Olympic football either changed or removed, but as long as it's there, I'll be hoping for a Danish (and/or Swedish) team
  6. Because participating in the Olympics means participating in the Olympics!
  7. A few mistakes were close to being costly again, but a 3-1 victory is a fine result meaning that we're absolutely still in the game!
  8. Well. Some stupid mistakes gave this away (though Germany was without doubt the better team) and only Skov was really dangerous. Eliminating the mistakes is without doubt a big step, but they really need to step it up if we are to have any chance!
  9. Fingers crossed. Have a few friends doing the half marathon tomorrow here in Aarhus as well (could very well be my target for next year). Haven't been running much myself the last month due to campaigning, but started again thursday (with a surprising 5km PB) and 6km today. I have a plan ready and believe that I'll be ready for the 12km in 2½ months if I follow it.
  10. As an AGF-fan I would say that Stage is not!
  11. Thunder in the background in Dauphine? Sure hope they know what they're doing!
  12. Sadly Joachim Andersen is out with an injury severely weakening our defence. It has been very much up and down for the team. I believe in the 2nd place, but we need to be at our very best!

  16. Well. A few points about the Danish election wednesday. 1: The anti immigration parties lost... or did they? The 3 parties focusing the most on immigration didn't do very well. The Danish Peoples Party lost 21 of their 37 seats, the slightly more right wing The New Right only just managed to get it taking 4 seats (but as a new party getting elected is hard itself) while Hard Line, the most extreme of the parties, didn't manage to get elected being 0,2 % below the threshold. But 20 of the 21 seats lost by DPP was gained by parties who have moved to a more sceptical position on immigration. But with Liberal Alliance losing 9 seats, it seems like the more pro-immigration parties gained a bit of ground with especially the Social-liberal party and the socialist people's party gaining 15 seats. This will also be one of the main struggles when it comes to a new government as all parties of the red block are more positive than the expected governing party, the Social Democrats. 2: The tendencies from the EP-election kept on. The parties who won the election, The liberal party, The social-liberal party, the socialist peoples party and the conservative party who had the best results were the ones gaining the most in the national parliament. The red-green alliance surprisingly lost a mandate after looking like a winner for a long time. 3: Government could be far away. The members f te "red block" could very well have a long summer holiday of negotiations. The 3 major struggles could very well be retirement, economy and immigration. It will be tough and a worst case scenarion could be another election in less than half a year, while another scenario could be the Social Democrats using the Liberal Party, maybe even talking about a government with them (I doubt this will happen). They sound positive so far, but it will be tough. And as a side note, two good friends of mine were elected, including Katrine Robsøe who I did quite a bit of campaigning for!
