  1. The only classical music that really makes me think of New Year's Eve is the Champagnergalop though an der schöner blauer Donau is of course a part of the New Years concert in Vienna (alongside the Radetzky March which makes me think of other things - hope you understand, though you're not from Aarhus ) If we're stretching "classical music", I'm personally very fond of our own Carl Nielsen and especially the Helios Ouverture.
  2. I just don't get why you would take a wonderful peace of opera and ruin it just to prove a point? Sure there's some symbolism in it, but to me the very first thing is whether I even want to listen to it and only few things make me put away a song faster than disturbing electronic beats.
  3. Carmen is beautiful... Oh wait, still Stromae? That song really shows why I don't enjoy the electronic. It simply feels like noise in my ears. Formidable is decent but still nowhere near any top list for me.
  4. I'm really not into house music. Only very little electro-pop manages to get my attention. I got bloody tired of Papaoutai when it was a hit.

  9. Nordic people's? There are plenty of hard rock (or more like metal) fans around the world (though it's most likely a bigger scene in some countries)

  16. Well. If the atmosphere is better at the big day, there's another reason for you. Second, Christmas is (in my opinion) a time of traditions. If somebody doesn't feel like going, noone will say anything.

  20. And the Danish Christmas dinner. Duck with 2 kinds of potatoes, creamy brown sauce, pickled red cabbage and stuffing And for dessert: Risalamande (rice pudding with cream, almonds and vanilla, served with cherry sauce) In the dessert there's a single whole almond. The one who gets it wins a present (in some families it's a part of the "game" to hide that you've got it). For the first time in a bunch od years, I got it and ended up hiding it in my glass of port (one of the classics)

  23. The few days where sports is very secondary for me!
  24. If you're modern, using LED lights, the TV would most likely use as much power as all your lights (if you're not going to the extremes in lighting).
