  1. I'm almost shocked by that guy...I mean, I remember the young Laine, the young Malkin, the young Ovi...they weren't so dominant (especially under the physical point of view) already before their first NHL training camp...
  2. and who else? Kakko's empty netter downs the curtain...
  3. in the meantime, the game in Bratislava is over...Czech Rep., 7 vs Norway, 2...
  4. no, just Slovak stuff (I'm watching the Slovak TV)...
  5. mmmh... not sure the puck was out of the zone...and instead of a replay, here they go with some commercials...
  6. oh, boy! that guy is just unstoppable...
  7. I can't imagine what could happen if boards and plexis weren't brand new...
  8. and the Czechs are comfortably banqueting with some tasty Norwegian salmon... 7-2 at the moment (45th minute or so)...
  9. OK, 2-2 after 40 mins...the table is well set up forn exciting 3rd period... I hope the guys won't get me disappointed (otherwise I switch to Fencing )...
  10. imho, he just wasted the challenge...there was nothing wrong with the Slovak action in front of the cage...meh...
  11. what the hell is the Finnish coach challenging?
  12. it looks like SVK have tied the game...but the refs are going to review the action...help!
  13. yeah...and if I were the New Jersey Devils, I'd rather choose him with the no.1 pick, instead of Jack Hughes (also because they already have a guy like Hischier, who's basically the same kind of player Hughes is, meanwhile the Finn is a natural born goal scorer and would perfectly fit in their top line with the Swiss guy)...
  14. hey, man! are you still with us? I know the Finnish 1-2 was hard to swallow, but there are still 40 mins to be played...c'mon! you can do it!
  15. Grand Slam (Baku, AZE) Day #2 Recap First Gold Medal for the Host Nation, Azerbaijan, in day #2 of the Baku GS tournament... the local hero of the day is Hidayat Heydarov in the men's -73kg class... but the dominating side of today's action is Japan, winning 2 Gold Medals with the only 2 girls at the start (Miku Tashiro in the -63kg and Chizuru Arai in the -70kg)... finally, the last Gold Medal of the day goes to Israel, thanks to Sagi Muki (men's -81kg)... after 2 days of action, Japan and Brazil lead the medal table with 2 Gold Medals each, followed by Azerbaijan, Israel, Moldova, France and Spain with 1 Gold Medal each... 16. living dangerously...but finally, taking home the top prize...Max Hartung is back on top of the podium after an exciting afternoon in Madrid... meanwhile the Italians...well, not a very bad day, but still, not enough (no medals for us, only a 6th and a 7th final placing)...
  17. the women's "final four" will be held later tonight at 10 p.m. CET... meanwhile right now the men's top four is running... and it's played in a very suggestive location, the Crystal Gallery of the "Palacio de Cibeles"...
  18. but now it's 3-1 GER and game basically over... however, that's what I'd have liked to see from Italy vs SUI... our (awful and totally submissive) attitude was the most embarassing thing of them all, even more than the humiliating score...

  21. I feel so ashamed... on a day like this, I think it would be better if I were just the average Italian, not even knowing about the existence of Ice Hockey... I need a pause from my (supposed to be) favourite sport...I'm gonna spend a couple of hours with some Judo (Baku Grand Slam) and some women's Handball (women's Champions League)...
  22. sorry, I just looked at the wrong event...
