  6. all the late afternoon and evening games (included a pair of matches that will have their impact on the main round) have been postponed because of inclement weather, which means that the next days' schedule is now a complete mess let's hope the bad weather doesn't kill the championship forcing too many games to be postponed and / or cancelled
  7. they are allowed, there's no more ban against high altitude
  8. the ban was set in 2007, but after all the South American Nations (except Brazil, who raised the controversy) protested and declared the ban discriminatory, it was lifted in 2008 therefore, no, technically there's no ban against football matches played at any altitude Peru always play in Lima (150m above sea level), but South American cups are regularly played also in Cuzco (3400m), which is close but not higher than La Paz (3600m) however, in Bolivia it might happen to play in places higher than La Paz, like Potosì (3900m) or in places with tropical climate (Santa Cruz de la Sierra, "only" 400m above sea level) p.s. Santa Cruz is scheduled to host the 2025 Copa Sudamericana Final in November
  9. we can't be at the top of all the sports! it's a cycle...we are competitive, but not enough to win a lot of medals it's not that we haven't won anything for years, the last 2 or 3 have been worse than the past...it happens...they just have to work to improve for the future
  10. Summer looks to be over, but who cares? after the prologue of the first couple of weeks of the CHL, now it's time for the main domestic leagues to start! some of them are already underway, many others are beginning their journey just in this week Betera Extraliga started on September, 4th KHL started on September, 5th meanwhile Yesterday (9/9) was the opening night in many more leagues: Extraliga, Liiga, NLA, DEL, Metalligaen finally, over the weekend the last bunch of the main European Leagues will start EHL on September, 11th Tipsport Liga on September, 12th Ligue Magnus on September, 12th () ICE League on September 12th and last but not least, as usual, SHL on September, 13th so, my hockey friends...enjoy the new Hockey season wherever you are!
  11. Ice Hockey Domestic Leagues 2025 - 2026
  12. our last chance is Matteo Borsani (who beat Mauro Nespoli in the round of 32...again, bad luck with the draw), who's still in competition in the men's individual (but he likely has to face Brady Ellison in his quarterfinal, if he wins the earlier match in the round of 16)
  13. lost early against in the mixed pairs, against in the men's team event (when we were the no.3 seed, after the best ranking round for years ) and finally, the girls lost to in the quarterfinals (our usual bad luck, finishing 8th when a few more points would have kept us in the other side of the draw )
  14. men's 10m Air Pistol Gold: Hu Kai Silver: You Changjie Bronze: Jason Solari Full Results & Rankings https://www.issf-sports.org/competitions/3273/results
  15. Recurve Bow, mixed Team Gold: Spain (Elia Canales & Andres Temiño Mediel) Silver: South Korea (An San & Kim Woo Jin) Bronze: Japan (Nanami Akasuno & Yuki Kawata) Full Ranking https://www.ianseo.net/TourData/2025/24321/TFRX.php Full Bracket https://www.ianseo.net/TourData/2025/24321/TBRX.php Recurve Bow, women's Team Gold: Chinese Taipei Silver: Japan Bronze: South Korea Full Ranking https://www.ianseo.net/TourData/2025/24321/TFRW.php Full Bracket https://www.ianseo.net/TourData/2025/24321/TBRW.php Recurve Bow, men's Team Gold: South Korea Silver: United States Bronze: Japan Full Ranking https://www.ianseo.net/TourData/2025/24321/TFRM.php Full Bracket https://www.ianseo.net/TourData/2025/24321/TBRM.php
  16. in baseball and softball shape doesn't exist, it's just a question of how you perform on a given day, it's a game of numbers where being productive once every 4 at bats makes you a good player and it all depends on how the pitchers perform on that given day it's the most unpredictable game of them all for sure, we have the players to win it all, but we need that everything goes according to plan, as always in this sport
  17. individual sports are different, they always follow the IOC's 3-year rule and stop, because otherwise you would go against their right to earn their money (there's no club activity which could give you more money than NT's, in fact they can immediately take part into commercial meets in any case) in team sports, you can simply stop them from playing all together for the NT if you want
  18. and a grand slam seals the deal for in the top of the 6th: 6-0 and
  19. obviously you need the rules to make it impossible, I mean, at least playing together with Vargas (or another foreign born player) if the girl wants to escape from Cuba, sooner than later she'll do it, this is a safe bet but at least I hope they establish a rule like the old one and force Turkey (or any other Nation) to choose just 1 imported player at a time
  20. it was at 1.pm. on rai2 and I read that it was 5.5 million (I remembered less than that, but I was wrong) with the 40% share still, it was in the middle of august
  21. well, in 1997, for instance, they had Cebukina, Sydorenko and, above all, Kirillova I mean, half of the Soviet team winning the 1988 Olympics and many other world/european tournaments after that, FIVB established that rule, but I don't know if and how it's changed through the years I hope they will get back to that
  22. that's not the reason, it's more because on a sunday night the people have more chances to choose different kind of entertainment than in the afternoon I mean, the basketball game between Italy and Slovenia (despite being broadcasted also on sky) had better audience than rai2 and rai3 even if it was on raisport+ and at 5.30 p.m. another example, yesterday's match between Italy and Israel (football) made 2 millions more than Friday's game vs Estonia, despite that was Gattuso's debut on the bench and all the boycott called against ISR in the last few days/weeks/months the day and the game time are always decisive for the ratings, more than the importance of the event itself (always remember that's a rigged system, nothing is true)
  23. as far as I remember, there was a rule established after Croatia basically naturalized half the Russian team many years ago that limited the number of foreign players to 1 per team (like in Basketball) is it still in place? otherwise, it should be reinstated as soon as possible
  24. rai1 (and didn't record the same ratings as the girls, despite being in prime time)
  25. because you can't have 4.2 million people watching raisport+ like on rai1 with the rigged system we have in place and volleyball in the no.2 sport in Italy and has earned itself the privilege to be shown on the main National TV channel other sports, have to be satisfied with minor TV channels because they don't move the same amount of people nor sponsorships it's as simple as that...I don't think we need a scientist to understand why some choices are taken that way
