  1. ended the 1st inning with 171/all out in 46.4 overs (they've been very good to resist for so long, when they had already 8 outs after less than 20 overs) just started batting, the weather seems to give the match a chance to finish "naturally"
  2. women Laura Lorenzato Veronica Luciani Serena Pergher men Francesco Betti David Bosa Daniele Di Stefano Davide Ghiotto Andrea Giovannini Riccardo Lorello Michele Malfatti Alessio Trentini all eyes on Ghiotto, of course but also looking forward to Pergher (especially in the women's 500m, distance on which she's the reigning junior world champion) and Di Stefano (who improved a lot above all in the 1500m in the recent warm-up races in Inzell) our top female skater, Francesca Lollobrigida, who gave birth to a child just a few months ago, will be back in the world cup only when the circus gets back to Europe (beginning of December in Stavanger), as she isn't comfortable to fly that far with her young baby (she already competed in Inzell a couple of weeks ago, though...and showed a good shape for someone who just started skating after almost a year of inactivity -she went 4.06 in the 3k)
  3. meanwhile, no training #2 Today for the next days
  4. very busy (too busy) opening weekend of the Fencing World Cup except for the women's Foil, all the other 5 weapons are on stage basically all together (and some of them, in places where it's almost impossible to get a decent streaming coverage) FIE will never learn from their mistakes
  5. Mine has gone broken a long, long time ago
  6. luckily, now it seems that the weather is good enough to play and if things continue like that, it's gonna be a very short match, as wickets are falling one after another (they're already at 8)... 1st inning is almost gone now they could boost their NRR to a level that and can't go whatever it happens in their respective matches in the next days
  7. unfortunately, have 7 points, not "only" 6
  8. nice start for Germani & Bertuzzi in the women's 49er FX class they flopped at the World Champs earlier this year, now they're expected to make up for their faults and earn the lone OQP available in Vilamoura on the other hand, I don't think we have any chance in the men's 49er
  9. game #40, beat by 160 runs choose to bat first and posted 339/9 in 50 overs, score that proved to be clearly out of reach for the that in fact only managed to score 179/all out in 37.2 overs game details https://www.cricketworldcup.com/match/102780 so, now the gameday #8 is over, only one match per Nation is left on the schedule we already know 3 of the 4 teams qualified to the semifinals ( ), meanwhile the fight for the 4th and last spot in the top 4 is still on between and , all tied with 8 points, which means that most likely the decision will go down to some tie-breakers (number of total wins or NRR) standings after gameday #8 https://www.cricketworldcup.com/standings Tomorrow, game #41 is scheduled between and at 9.30 a.m. CET in Bengaluru have the chance to post a score that would improve their NRR almost out of reach of and even if they would defeat their respective rivals in the last match of the round robin play and get tied with them in the total number of wins on the other hand, if they miss this chance, they expose themselves to a possible comeback by the Asian teams, leaving their destiny in other teams' hands
  10. the Draw Group A Europe #1 Group B Group C Europe #2 Group D Europe #3
  11. the Draw Group A Group B Europe #1 Europe #2 Group C Group D Europe #3
  12. just follow the link I posted above... but this time most likely (almost sure) a VPN is required
  13. @hckošice a friend just made me notice a Hockey comparison between the Maxwell and Cummins partnership in Today's match and the Gretzky brothers' point record in the NHL...
  14. I don't believe what I just saw! (the great Vin Scully, cit. ) was dead and gone, already 7 wickets fallen and all their best (on paper) batsmen out, win probability down to 6% according to AI and then comes Glenn Maxwell... he didn't start full gas, he was miraculously saved twice by missed catches and twice by VAR (the last one I don't think it was really how the AI reconstructed the bounce of the ball, I don't trust it at all), then he was cramping in all of his body and maybe injured in his lower back... but suddenly he started to hit boundaries like there's no Tomorrow (and actually there wasn't Tomorrow for at that point) and finally he won the match (almost by himself) in style by posting an unbelievable double century (201 from 128 balls/not out), best individual performance of the 2023 CWC so far (and most likely it will stand until it's all over) game #39, beat by 3 wickets posted 291/5 in 50 overs, answered with 293/7 in 46.5 overs game details https://www.cricketworldcup.com/match/102779 Tomorrow the 8th gameday ends with game #40, the useless matchup between and at 9.30 a.m. in Pune
  15. by the way, good final stint for in the 1st inning, led by an amazing century (129 out of 143 balls, not out) posted by Ibarahim Zadran finally, scored 291/5 in 50 overs, giving quite a difficult task (not that they can't complete this chase, though...let's see how the bowlers feel tonight...they need a good start to fuel their hope) and as I'm writing, what a start of 2nd inning! first ball is a 4 for , then Mujeeb almost got Warner on the 2nd ball...if they keep this pace of action, they're all dead by the 20th over
  16. no, idea but I know he's married and he has 2 sons, he's vegan and a PETA testimonial (that's all I can find on his wiki page)
  17. right now, instead, are not getting too many wickets (only 2) vs , but they're keeping the score of the Asian team very low (run rate below 5 after 30 overs) if don't raise their batting, it would be an easy chase for in the 2nd inning p.s. @hckošice I don't know if you're somehow following this event, but one of the best (if not the best) Australian bowler is named Adam Zampa
  18. and he did it in basically just over half the matches of Tendulkar
  19. the male Flagbearer will be Giovanni Pellielo for sure (I bet nobody will have the "huevos" to leave him out, now that he's personally earned the quota place for the team), I fear the female Flagbearer is more of a mistery (I think it won't be a shooter because of Pellielo, however) it can't be Caterina Banti nor a gymnast because of the schedule, too I'd say it might be up to Irma Testa and Antonella Palmisano (or maybe Simona Quadarella or a Fencer) p.s. personally, I'd really like to see Sinner and Egonu as Flagbearers, just to get half the people in this fuckin' Country completely mad
  20. after the shameful controversy, took advantage of the situation and got a win that leaves dead last in the standings (for now) game #38, beat by 3 wickets posted a decent (but not unforgettable) 279/all out in 49.3 overs, then answered with 282/7 in 41.1 overs and won the match game details https://www.cricketworldcup.com/match/102778 Tomorrow, game #39 might be a decisive one with facing at 9.30 a.m. CET in Mumbai a win might put them really in contention with and for the 4th place, even if they have another really difficult task in the last game vs , meanwhile have to face and have to play their last match vs , teams with no more interests in the standings
  21. p.s. it looks I forgot the Fencing World Cup opener(s), which might even cut the time dedicated to all the remaining events...always if something is available on TV/streaming
  22. Knockout Stage Round of #16, 1st Leg (Part I) Tuesday 14.11.2023 - Schedule* 17:30 Pelicans Lahti (FIN) - Vìtkovice Ridera Ostrava (CZE) 18:00 Oceláři Třinec (CZE) - Skellefteå AIK (SWE) 18:30 ERC Ingolstadt (GER) - Växjö Lakers (SWE) 19:45 Rapperswil-Jona Lakers (SUI) - Adler Mannheim (GER) 19:45 EHC Biel-Bienne (SUI) - Färjestad Karlstad (SWE) 20:20 HC Innsbruck (AUT) - Lukko Rauma (FIN) *All times CET Watch live Check here for details of live TV broadcasts: https://www.championshockeyleague.com/en/fans/where-to-watch Be careful! at least so far, Homeofhockey.tv website is NOT RELIABLE at all! Think about it before investing your money
  23. great! hope you're close enough to the rink, so to enjoy also the "sounds of the game", which is always amazing for first time viewers p.s. sorry, pal! I just can't help you with money...I'm absolutely indigent
  24. now that the main baseball leagues' season is over (I'd like to follow the KBO Korean Series, too...but it's too expensive and I don't want to go mad looking for free streams), I'm already depressed however, I still have on my schedule the clutch moments of the Cricket World Cup, a lot of US Sports (NFL, NBA, NCAA), a lot of Hockey (NHL, Champions League, European domestic leagues), Euroleague Basketball and the first full weekend of the Wintersports season (with Alpine Skiing, Biathlon, Speedskating)
  25. meanwhile, in South Korea... in the decisive game #5 of the "semifinal" round, the NC Dinos from Changwon couldn't keep a 2-0 lead against the home team, the KT Wiz from Suwon and finally lost 3-2 the game and also the whole series therefore, the KT Wiz advance to the Korean Series against the RS champions, the LG Twins from Seoul the Korean Series are scheduled to start next Tuesday, November 7th at 6.30 p.m. local time (10.30 a.m. CET) in Seoul it's a classic best-of-7 series, but the format is an unusual 2-2-3 schedule (so, Nov. 7, 8 in Seoul; Nov. 10, 11 in Suwon; then, if necessary, Nov. 13, 14 and 15 back in Seoul)
