  1. WHAT AN AMAZING NIGHT!!!! GRANDE IBARGUEN!!! Also, congrats to our South American brethen, awesome silver for Venezuela
  2. I agree with that. I meant not an excuse among the candidates. It didn't give Gaviria, Boudat, Lansen, Cav, Viviani or O'Shea any advantage over each other (sorry I wasn't clear enough). But the level did suffer.
  3. The scheduling was horrible. It's not an excuse because it hurts everyone, but the idea is to have these guys at their top for all three events. At least tomorrow the time trial is in the morning and there's at least 80 mins between the flying lap and the points race.
  4. You were so right. What a race. And this is wide open again.
  5. Hansen is unstopable and Gaviria had a horrible pursuit. Sigh.
  6. I'm supporting Honduras because their coach is Colombian and he managed my favorite club a few years ago. But if Brazil takes them out I'll want that gold to stay in the continent.
  7. They do? Maybe you get that impression because your guys always act like paper dolls. Now I'm sure it's not on purpose and it's just the green grass making them think they're in a diving pool. Just kidding. I hate everyone there that's not Teo, Dorlan or Deivy. Let's just not make each other defend people we don't like.
  8. Please, that diva is making cry faces every time there's a strong wind and that referee seems to be under the impression Brazilians are made of glass. Maybe of he let the game flow instead of stopping it every 20 seconds to see if the precious locals are "hurt". It's shameful that you need to stoop this low. With the team you have you don't need it.
  9. I had forgotten what a whiny little bitch Neymar is.
  10. Vamos Puig!!!
  11. What a game!! Grande Delpo! Now go and get that gold.
  12. Oh man, she had the momentum to be top 3. What an unfortunate crash.
  13. Superb riding by Bayona in that repechage. And she only came to get some experience. I don't think the final is out of reach.
  14. How she managed that was cool as f**k
  15. What about Druin?
  16. CARIVAN'S COLOMBIAN PERFORMANCE OF THE DAY - DAY 7 Yuberjen Martinez (Boxing) Another superb fight. He took out the world champion in a convincing fashion (the win was split decision because boxing judges and Cuba ) and now he's secured the silver medal. He wants more and he'll his chance this Sunday) REST OF THE PODIUM: 2. Ingrit Valencia (boxing): Easy win by technical ko in which she showed great technical qualities. One win away from a medal. 3. Ubaldina Valoyes (weightlifting): She gives Colombia its fourth weightlifting fourth place. It was probably her last games and gets her 4th olympic diploma in as many games.
  17. CARIVAN'S COLOMBIAN PERFORMANCE OF THE DAY - DAY 6 Santiago Grillo (Sailing) He was the only Colombian competing . Still, he did post his best result (14th), so, yay?
  18. So happy for Puig. Puerto Rico has a medal!
  19. Barbar was 8th in his heat and 50th in the general during the 50 m freestyle heats Next Lebanese up is Chirine Njeim in the women's marathon this Sunday (Day 9)
  20. Yuberjen, lightfly finalist!!
  21. What a race. Good for Canada getting their first gold and so happy for Manuel. She really grew on me during Omaha. Loved her interviews.
  22. Yeah, I enjoy that game too. He didn't play. He's been subpar this tournament and Piscis benched him. (Good, I hate Nacional)
  23. Just in time for another Colombia vs Brazil just ahead of the September game in Manaus. Oh joy.
  24. CARIVAN'S COLOMBIAN PERFORMANCE OF THE DAY - DAY 5 Yuri Alvear (Judo) Our flagbearer got a silver in women's 70k. Add it to her London bronze. Now she just needs a Tokyo gold to complete her collection. REST OF THE PODIUM: 2. Yuberjen Martinez (boxing): Good hard-fought fight with Carmona (ESP). He's a semifinalist now and will win a medal. Color pending. 3. Leidy Solís (weightlifting): After missing London due to a pregnancy she repeats the 4th place she earned in Beijing.
