  1. You'll enjoy this story, I'll try to find a video later. After her silver Yuri is being interviewed by this reporter and the reporter goes: "How do you feel? I know how hard it's been for you these months and...." and then the reporter starts crying and Yuri ends up consoling her lol
  2. Moldova was sanctioned for doping, Colombia has never had a case in weightlifting.
  3. Add the Moldovan in 5th and Colombia might get a B final bronze
  4. I'm sure China will enjoy it when they get the gold in 3/4 years
  5. Caicedo will get at least a 6th from the B final. Nice.
  6. I'd be thrilled with a diploma, tbh. And I think so would he. Not making it to the parallel final was the big hit tho.
  7. Mona Shaito lost 15-3 her first match. On Day 6: Anthony Barbar will compete in the 50m freestyle heats.
  8. First Colombian medal in Boxing since 1988!! Grande Yuberjen!
  9. I feel your pain. I'm still bitter over that fall
  10. CARIVAN'S COLOMBIAN PERFORMANCE OF THE DAY - DAY 4 Catalina Usme (Football) It took six games for the women's national football team to score a goal in the Olympics. She did it last night. Twice. Against the current world and olympic champions and major favorites to gold this year in a great draw. REST OF THE PODIUM: 2. Luis Mosquera (weightlifting): A bittersweet 4th place. Attempting to fight the bronze out of a North Korean that would end up blanking the strategy overshoot and Colombia was blinsided by the first Olympic medalist from Kyrgyzstan. He's young. He'll be back. 3. Mercedes Perez (weightlifting): Another 4th place in weightlifting.
  11. Thank you! Best of lucks to India!
  12. DAY 4: Flagbearer Elias Nacif lost by ippon to the Argentinian Emmanuel Lucenti in the round of 32 in judo men's 81k DAY 5: Mona Shaito will participate in the women's foil event. Her first rival is Lee Kiefer (USA) in the round of 32.
  13. This was heartbreaking. Two 4th places today. Nice for Kyrgyztan I guess.
  14. Agreed. She lost it, she wasn't beaten. Good luck to Bjerendal, tho.
  15. CARIVAN'S COLOMBIAN PERFORMANCE OF THE DAY - DAY 3 Oscar Figueroa (Weightlifting) Who else? The first male gold medalist in the history of Colombia and oficially our best lifter ever (Gold, silver and OR) got our first medal in Rio. An attempt at a new OR didn't pan out but thanks to Oscar our anthem was played for the first time in Rio and the third time ever at the Games. REST OF THE PODIUM: 2. Yuberjen Martinez (boxing): Great win over Ladon (PHI) and a berth in the quaterfinals. He secures a diploma and is one win away from our first boxing medal since Seul. 3. Lina Rivas (weightlifting): Olympic diploma with a 7th place in the 58k.
  16. So clueless. It's not just that she was caught doping, it was how dismissive and nonchalant she was about it.
  17. Praise any sky ghost of your choice than the cheater didn't win this one
  18. Let's see if the messiah that will save us from the russian devil will be lithuanian or american
  19. Yeah. I remember how much she struggled in Omaha. Still, I love her. Too bad the cheating asshole got his gold. Eff FINA.
  20. And here I was quitely hoping for a silver!!! Thank you, Oscar! Congrats. The first Colombian man ever to win a gold medal!!!
  21. I was so ready for the upset and then he just fell apart. Too bad
